Taberna Emilio — Restaurant in Santa Lucía de Tirajana

This is by far the best restaurant experience I've ever had! My husband and I briefly came to Maspalomas and wanted a nice dinner and this restaurant came to the rescue. It looks family run. For starters we had the 'grilled cheese from the neighbouring Island' (that's what it is called and it isn't on the menu... It's available for 9 months in a year). This is the best cheese I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband isn't a cheese fan either but he certainly did love this one to bits!!! And we had the stewed goat and stewed rabbit for our mains. Now this is where we were both swept off our tongues- literally. So so so flavourful!!!! We emptied both our pots. And we had the cheesecake for dessert (the only thing that's homemade in the restaurant) and oh my God - I just think we loved everything!!!! And the customer service was exceptional! Emilio was so nice and took the time to explain everything on the menu. He speak great English so not to worry if you're like me with very little (or no) Spanish vocabulary. Our bill came up to £32 equivalent. Overly affordable for quantity and value of food versus price.

Honestly, this is the best place on Gran Canaria to have dinner. Let's start with the fact that the prices are not high - 4 adults dinner with starters and drinks for around 50 euro. Then, there is a quality - each and every meal is prepared to taste and look great. Canarian specialities tastes as they should, quality of meat is outstanding, every meal is fresh and tasty. on the top of that you have the owner, who is making the whole place unique. He will answer all of your questions, explain carefully what is making each meal from the menu special and advise in case of doubt. Also great coffee (for below 2e), variety of wines available, what not to love? We have been there several times during each gran canaria trip and we were always pleased, happy and satisfied with the meal. Moreover, for the last 2 years, the quality of food have remained on the top level, which makes me sure that taberna Emilio is worth...

Una carne tan tierna que puedes cortarla con los ojos, apenas necesitas cuchillo. Todo ello rodeado de deliciosos y apetitosos aperitivos exquisitos. El personal de una cortesía y elegancia de etiqueta. El hombre que te dará la bienvenida, o el dueño, inmediatamente entiende lo que necesitas para satisfacer tu paladar. La camarera es de una delicadeza y simpatía singulares. A solo 10 minutos en coche de Maspalomas, realmente vale la pena. Ver es creer. Precios muy justos..!!!

Carne così tenera da poterla tagliare con gli occhi, non serve quasi il coltello. Tutto questo contornato da sfiziosi e appetitosi stuzzichini squisiti.Il personale di etichetta cortesia ed eleganza.L'uomo che vi accoglierà, o il proprietario, capisce subito di cosa avete bisogno per soddisfare il vostro palato.La cameriera è di singolare delicatezza e cordialità.Solo 10 minuti in macchina da Maspalomas, ne vale davvero la pena.
