Racism Served with a Side of Hair – A Disgraceful Dining Experience
Let me start by saying I’ve spent the past few weeks exploring the best of Spain — from Valencia to Madrid to Palma — and nowhere, absolutely nowhere, did I encounter the level of arrogance, ignorance, and outright racism that I did at this so-called restaurant.
We ordered a vegetarian pizza. I do eat egg and chicken, but we chose veg for the toppings. While casually discussing the softness of the dough (yes, we’re food people), we wondered aloud if it had egg. I said no, fermentation gives it that texture. Just to settle our fun debate, we asked the older waiter (Waiter 1).
He said “No” — but the look he gave me? Pure judgment. Subtle, but loud. Still, I let it go. The pizza was decent. Until it wasn’t.
Because three slices in, I found a short hair baked right into the cheese. Not on top — inside. We calmly showed it to the waiter. And what did he do?
Laughed. Looked around. Rolled his eyes. Then — I kid you not — he touched my pizza, tore the cheese off the slice, and said: “Now you can eat it.”
Waiter 2, possibly the manager, stepped in. He glanced around nervously, lowered his voice, and said, “Maybe it’s your hair?” Excuse me?
Let’s be clear: This wasn’t just unhygienic. This wasn’t just bad service. This was dismissive, defensive, and borderline discriminatory. As a woman of Indian origin, I’m used to being gracious. But this was a test of dignity.
I paid. I left. And I am writing this not because I wanted free food, but because respect isn't optional.
To the staff: Not every customer is clueless. Some of us are well-traveled, well-educated, and deeply aware of the line between a mistake and misconduct. You crossed it.
To fellow diners: If you're expecting basic hygiene, accountability, or decency, look elsewhere. A street cart in India has more grace — and better food.
Humanity isn’t just on the menu — it should be at the table. And this place has none.
If anyone wishes to reach out for more details, I am happy to provide them. And for the record — I travel the world at full capacity, in full luxury. This is not about compensation or free food. I say this only because, sadly, some people still need that context to take a review like...

We opted to sit outside.
There is definitely a busy dinner period at this restaurant that seems to peak around 7/8pm and the line for tables is out the door.
We decided to have a drink at the beach first, and wondered back up about 9/9:30 and walked straight in and to a table.
Service was standard, nothing I can flaw really.
Food didn’t take long at all after ordering.
My partner had the lasagna and I had the beef tacos.
The lasagna was nice, very cheesy and no hard bits of over/under cooked pasta. It was more cheesy than it was ‘saucy’ as such, the main flavour of it was cheese, which is a shame as the bolognaise sauce tasted very nice. As a whole, it was a nice meal and at €15 euro, I believe it was good value.
The beef tacos were underwhelming. The taste was amazing and the amount of flavours were great, my main gripe is really with the portion size. For €17.50, you only get 3 small tacos, which on their own; may not be too filling if you’re hungry. I would advise if you do feel like tacos, and have an appetite, order a side. However, as stated they were extremely tasty, just lacked in value for money.
I didn’t mind sitting on the outside area, but this puts you right into the main walkway for the side streets and foot traffic is heavy. If, like me, you don’t really care about people walking past, then it is completely fine. If you aren’t a fan, it would be best suited for...

Service was appalling from the moment when we sat down, lack of engagement, a reluctance to explain the dishes when asked and he looked like he had no intention of making us feel welcome.
The mains arrived and there was no follow up ‘how is your food..?’ Or ‘would you like another drink?’ Except if you are Spanish or none English (from my observations of other tables)
And by the way I wanted another drink, but was never asked. Also we waited around 20 minutes before we had to wave for attention to take the plates away - our ‘outside’ waiter passed us three times in that 20mins……
We asked for the ice cream menu and got the desert menu, so I had to go inside and ask for the ice cream menu. Still no question would I like another drink!!
Appalling if they take a service charge for this - I will be asking why when the service was terrible.
Not recommended if you want a nice receptive service - but the food was good.
Won’t be going again...
