Chill Out Grill — Restaurant in Santa Pola

We have visited this lovely restaurant 3 times in our 2 week stay in Gran Alacant and it comes highly recommended.

The food our party of 6 has sampled has been exceptional (that said we have not got past the Mexican food but that shows how good it is). Each time we requested to eat inside with the a/c and fans keeping us cool although there are plenty of tables outside in the square where you can take in the atmosphere/music.

The menu is varied - Mexican / steaks / fish / burgers/ Indian / pizza - something for everyone.

The owner was really friendly and welcoming (and speaks fluent English / Spanish / Indian and Punjabi) and even helped us out with a taxi issue. The rest of the staff equally friendly.

We love eating in different places but the fact we have visited 3 times speaks volumes. Go give it a try - you won't be...

We had a mixed grill for two. Most of the meat was dry and overcooked served on a bed of vegetables, had very little seasoning and the portion of fries included was tiny. At least the spare ribs were tender.

The other guests ordered Bolognese which in their words tasted like the one you get in a can from the grocery store, and some had the Chicken Tandoori which was good, if not a bit small. All the desserts were store bought, no doubt.

The bottle of red wine was served too warm, already opened when it got to the table, no tasting and put in a cooler that was too cold.

I'm honestly quite surprised by the raving reviews here, because neither the food nor the prices warrants a 5 star rating.

Great restaurant to eat out in Gran Alacant. Menu has a good mix of Indian, Mexican, Char-grilled meats, Steak and Pizza. Something for everyone and the kids too.

Service was excellent from all the staff and the live music entertainment in the square brings a great atmosphere for a good evening of food and entertainment all round.

Serves decent G&T's with quality Fever-Tree mixers 👍🏻🍸 and a good selection of cocktails and drinks all round.

Been back several times now, the food and service is always excellent!

Also easily accessible for anyone in a wheelchair who is looking for a wheelchair friendly restaurant in Gran Alacant. The square has easy access ramps to get in and the restaurant has plenty of tables on the ground level.

Definitely recommend and will be back...
