Bodegueta Cal Sam — Restaurant in Santa Susanna

Tempted by the positive reviews and curious to try authentic Spanish cuisine, we went to Bodegueta Call Sam. We arrived around 4 p.m., so I understand there weren’t many options left. The owner, who was kind and welcoming, offered us tapas - no menu, no prices..

However, for €40, the selection felt underwhelming: less than half a baguette with tomato, 8–10 calamari rings that tasted frozen, around 200 grams of patatas bravas (the best part of the meal), and 6 croquettes “from Grandma’s recipe,” which turned out rather bland.

The next day, in another restaurant, we had a much larger and tastier meal for the same price. That left me with the impression that, while the lady was nice, she may have knowingly taken advantage of us being tourists unfamiliar with the place.

Overall, it wasn’t a positive experience and our attempt to experience local cuisine and culture was, unfortunately, not...

My family and I ate at this superb restaurant and were made to feel welcome straight away! We ordered patas bravas, calamari and asked Christina to surprise us with three more dishes. The food was beautiful and really big portions. The croquettes and calamari were amongst the best we'd ever had and we are quite particular! Above all though Christina is a fabulous host and couldn't do enough for us, we were made to feel like friends. It was also great value for money . This is a great truly authentic Spanish place to eat, slightly off the beaten track away from all the touristy restaurants. Great...

La Bodegueta Cal Sam, és un IMPRESCINDIBLE si vens a Santa Susana!!

Una Bodegueta que sens dubte crec que t'ofereix el millor producte al millor preu.

M'atreveixo a dir que és un dels llocs on millor menjaràs aquí a Santa Susana. Pel producte i per l'AMOR que posa la Cristina. Una noia encantadora, que es veu i es nota que es deixa la pell en el seu negoci (que acaba d'obrir) com en la cuina innovant plats.

Parlant dels plats, puc assegurar que tot és menjar cassola, i es nota que passa moltíssimes hores dins de la cuina per fer un menjar de qualitat i contentar a la seva clientela.

Vam demanar uns calamars, unes braves, unes patates (al estilo Olot) però més innovadores i més bones, uns pinxitos de pollastres espectaculars i unes croquetes casolanes increïbles!! Érem 3 persones i la tapa de croquetes eren 8 unitats, i sense dir-li res, la Cristina ens va dir que ens posava 9 croquetes perquè mengessin 3 croquetes per persones i això és un detall a valorar!!

No adjunto cap foto perquè no ens vam poder resistir a començar a menjar!!!

Soc de Barcelona, però sens dubte que hi tornaré més d'un cop.
