KALIMA Beach Club by ALEGRIA — Restaurant in Santa Susanna

Had been there a few times during our stay in Santa Susanna. A coffee in the afternoon, one evening for drinks and snack food in a group of five, another evening for a late coffee for two to enjoy the sunset time. Drinks had been good and tasty, coffee as well, also the food was good. The service was generally kind and ok, however not always paying attention and ignoring your hand sign - even if four waiters stay not busy around in a group and actually looking in your direction - can be done better, a lot tourists simply expect to get this attention :) But personally I'm ok to lift myself up and just go and ask to pay at the bar. We are staying at Alegria de Mar hotel. We went to their beach bar( Kalima beach club) last night for drinks and something to eat, as we thought this will be nice as the bar is right on the beach front-perfect location, but that is the only good thing about this bar. The food was terribly, worse food we’ve ever had!!! Had chicken sandwiches in some type of panini/ciabatta bread, the bread was old and stale and the chicken filet tasted like was boiled or something, also had a combo platter and I’m not even sure how to describe how terrible that was but please believe me when I tell that was horrible! And I’m not a fussy eater I eat everything. We also had 2 beers and that was also horrible, tasted bad and was kinda warmis . I don’t understand how a beach bar get...

I was there for lunch enjoying the ambience and about to even make a dinner reservation for later on that day when my order arrived. I ordered a chicken sandwich and I got a ham and cheese toastie. After 10 minutes waiting time I received the chicken sandwich which looked very disturbing. Dry yellowish chicken put on a bread without any sauce or dressing. What amazed me the most is that no one from the staff came to ask if everything was okay and if there was a reason I wasn’t eating. I asked for the bill and shared with the waiter that I am not happy with the food I received, there was no apology or offering to bring me something else. To top it up they even charged me for it.
