🪅 En la santanderina calle del Sol, el restaurante Agave Azul es una embajada gastronómica mexicana asentada desde hace más de una década en Cantabria. Fundado por la familia Moreno-Arana, se ha consolidado como un referente de la cocina tradicional mexicana, con una propuesta que huye de lo fácil para abrazar la autenticidad: tortillas de maíz nixtamalizado hechas en casa, salsas caseras y guisos que cruzan generaciones en los hogares del país azteca. Todo ello en un ambiente acogedor y colorido, con una decoración que celebra la cultura mexicana.

🌽 La experiencia culinaria se sustenta en la calidad del producto, con ingredientes traídos directamente desde México y otros cultivados en su propia huerta. Esta atención al detalle se traduce en platos que cuentan historias: chalupas, flautas de carne, enchiladas potosinas o los imprescindibles tacos al pastor. We stayed locally and used Google maps to find restaurants nearby. We decided on this one based on the excellent reviews

When we arrived we had a lovely greeting and the waiter was more than happy to explain the menu to us.

The food was outstanding, and he even gave us extra sides with our starter.

The food arrived hot and was more than plentiful.

You will NOT be disappointed.

They take cards.....and even our pet dog lulu was welcomed later on outside.

Lastly the prices were so reasonable....they reduced our starter in size and the price....nice touch.

We went in a group of 15 with a reservation at 9pm. We told the waiter that they could bring us a selection to make things easier for the kitchen. The food was nice enough, as were the Margaritas. At just after 11pm the waiters started taking our drinks off the table, telling us they had another booking! This may be acceptable in other countries but in Spain if a table of 15 books in the evening, you do not expect to be rushed off your table before you even finish your drinks! The manager was then rude when we questioned why we had to leave. I won't return and would not...
