⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a great find in Santander!
Honestly loved Max Sports Café. It’s got that easy-going vibe you always hope for but rarely find. Friendly people, great food, and a laid-back atmosphere.
Big shout-out to Javier, the manager. He really looked after us, making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves—super nice guy.
Special thanks to Maria, our waitress, who was amazing. Full of energy, really friendly, and always checking if we needed anything. Just genuinely a great person all around.
We tried the four cheese pizza and the carnivore pizza—both were spot-on. Super tasty, generous portions, cooked just right, and really good value.
The setting is awesome too. It’s under these big pine trees, which means it stays cool even on hot days, and there’s a nice playground nearby for anyone coming with kids.
Plus, if you’re into football or live sports, this is your spot. They’ve got screens everywhere, always showing the latest matches, so you can eat, relax, and enjoy the game.
Definitely recommend giving this place a go—you...
Read moreWe were staying in the hotel across the road, Suite Home Pinares, and one of our days we were just looking for a nice close easy meal for dinner without needing to travel into the centre of Santander. Out of the 4 nights we were staying in Santander we ate here 3 nights in the end. Being 2 Brits who were visiting in January, the tourist off season for the area, we were greeted by staff who were very welcoming and tried their utmost to communicate and help us with any queries we had. That along with the general atmosphere of the bar/restaurant made it for a very enjoyable and relaxed experience which we greatly appreciated given the majority of places were closed and we were finding it difficult to navigate without knowing much of the language (typical ignorant Brits not learning any languages). And then to top it off the food was excellent, every meal was very good and good portion sizes. The price of nearly every meal was under €10 as well, so the value for money aspect was also very good. Would...
Read moreGood setting among the trees and a good atmosphere. However the food and drinks offerings leave a lot to be desired, though to be expected with the low prices. First, this place called itself a "bar" with a Tex Mex theme. yet it does not serve classics such as mojito or margarita (?!). Second, the food. Our son ordered the tomato pasta. This was literally instant noodles served with two tiny pots of passata. For mains the taco trio were basic at best. I can make much better tacos at home. The pizza was Ok but seemed like many places in Santander to made with dough lacking yeast (or not properly risen). I had to chase service down to get the bil. 8/10 atmosphere, 3/10 food, 4/10 drinks....
