Why work in the service industry when you obviously hate customers. My wife, who speaks a very small amount of Spanish but tries her best to communicate in the language of the staff, was treated with complete contempt by a staff member who actually ended up shouting at her in front of a busy queue of other people waiting to be served. The old saying ‘service with a smile’ doesn’t apply here, it’s more like service with a snarl. When someone tries to speak your language but isn’t very good at it, at least show some decency and meet her halfway. In Northern Ireland we pride ourselves on being nice to visitors. Try to be a wee bit more...

We've always loved this place - the service, the atmosphere, the decor, the pinchos, the restaurant, the staff - good service with a smile, they speak English! A good range of wines. Today we had an early lunch (13.00 on a Sunday) before getting on the ferry. It's great for just people watching too - everybody enjoying themselves - families, dapper well-dressed gentlemen, not very many tourists (none today). Looking to see what others order as well is interesting and makes me think Iust come back to try that. The market building gives a spacious feeling, but it still has a...

We visited the Deli part at lunch time today as really wanted to try it and it looked so good. The experience was unfortunately ruined by a really rude staff member who Embarrassed me in front if other customers. I was ordering food and only speak a small amount of Spanish but very much tried. And didn’t assume they should understand English. So I did my best but he even shouted at me as I tried to explain what I would like. I was left red and hurt by the experience. For such a lovely place it could be made even better by good staff. V disappointing service overall. I...

Been here a couple of times, the food is great and it's located in the market, so you're covered, no matter what the weather. Seafood like rabas and zamburiñas are great. Also try the chuleton pintxo, which is more like a steak on bread than it is is truly a pintxo, great for lunch
