Quite disappointed as we were overcharged and the food was not great. Although the waiter was friendly, the service was slow. My friend ordered breaded hake, but as it was no longer available, she had to choose another dish. She still was charged for hake (€17.50) and not for peppers stuffed with cod which she actually had (€11) and which was very bland and not pleasant. Also ordered prawns which very large, but overcooked and came with just a tiny bit of undressed lettuce and no sauce, potatoes were ordered as extra.

Wine, the stuff did not ask which kind of wine and for the first try took the red instead of white which we wanted... by this the whole strange thing began. For the second course my girlfriend asked for meal with fish and received meal with beef. (On photo). They were polite when they changed the meal. Meal quality is not big, the fish was not tasty. Would be good to have lean menu with higher quality ingredients. Stuff are professional but the kitchen is below average.

Pedimos rabas, albóndigas y cocido montañés. Le doy una estrella porque las rabas estaban muy buenas, pero el cocido montañés tenía un sabor muy fuerte. Era nuestra primera vez, así que pensamos inocentemente que no era un plato de nuestro gusto. Sin más. Pero Identifiqué el misterio de ese sabor extraño cuando probé la costilla que acompañaba a las alubias. Estaba literalmente podrida ! Su olor era muy desagradable, a podrido ! El camarero tras olerlo, confirmó su mal estado sin mediar explicación. La sorpresa fue mayúscula cuando en la esa de al lado, tres clientes piden cocido y les toma la comanda sin decirles nada. Pero Señores, que vais a enviar a la gente al hospital, leches !!!!! Cuando trae la cuenta nos dice que no nos cobra el cocido, como haciéndenos el favor. Lo que quiero es una disculpa y una explicación. Lo que nosotros hicimos muy mal,fue, el no poner una queja formal, pero sinceramente, sólo me quería ir de allí. SUERTE si piensas ir y no acabas intoxicado, yo desde luego no pienso volver jamas.

Spent a few days in Santander, and we wanted to try some traditional and homemade food, I think we found the best place. We started with some “Almejas”, the best clams , they put it with a really nice sauce, and then we tried the snails, homemade as well, really tasty. We order the stew with chorizo, black pudding.. it was a lot but was so nice we ate everything, and then we order some stew hake with green sauce and also lamb chops that we ended up sharing cause we was really full already. At the end, we try a portion of the homemade cheesecake with like a soft cake, was the best cheesecake I had in time. Service was spectacular and they was really helpful, they recommended us the snails, we never ate them before and we loved them so much we are willing to come back just for them. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we will come back hopefully soon. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try some Cantabria...

TOURIST TRAP We ate the lunch menu a week ago at this place and had a very bad experience. We had "menestra" and artichokes for first course that tasted like precooked. Second course was worse. We were served a meat stew which had a PUTRID taste which we believe they tried to disguise with a strong sauce. We had to send the dish back cause it made us sick and we were served something else.
