We arrive thinking we're going to have a good time... we leave traumatised.
From the beginning, I order a Virgin mojito.
Result: a tiny glass, armoured with ice cubes, literally a sip and it's over. We politely ask another, the waitress goes to see her boss... and comes back to tell us: "he doesn't know how to do without ice cubes". Translation: "we don't give a fee, take it or leave it". We left.
The dishes... how to say...
Carbonara pasta: zero taste. The "bacon"? Just blocks of fat. I'm testing a piece, it turns my stomach. I give to the restaurant cat (yes, a cat is lying between the tables), he eats one... and he vomits. I repeat: even the cat vomited.
"burger" (supporting photo): two slices of low-end bread, a dry steak, a mini-piece of goat cheese, zero sauce. The blood of the meat soaks the bread (bon appetit). Around, a handful of match chips that must have come straight out of a discount package. It could have been a joke, except that it happened on the table.
Salads: as bland as water. Forced to empty the salt on top to feel something.
We ate almost nothing... for €90.
The toilets? Visually clean, but with a smell to vomit, forgotten dead...
Read moreOne of the worst meals we've had in years! Ordered of the "Special menu" and what we got was horrendous. The steak I ordered was wafer thin and tasted horrible. A few soggy veg was also thrown into the side of the plate. A tiny beer was also included in the special. My wife had chicken with mushroom sauce but couldnt finish it. My daughter ordered spaghetti Bolognese and again she couldn't eat it because it tasted so bad. We were even told to hold onto our knives and forks between the starter and main course as we wouldn't be getting new ones. After the main course we couldn't wait to leave but desert was also included, it lived up to expectations as it was just as bad as the main course. It could be best described as thick brown bread with jam. We weren't even asked if we would like more drinks as the waiter just dropped the plates and left to go smoke his cigarette at the side of the restaurant each time. We certainly won't be visiting Jimmy's bar on our next visit to cala D'Or. Would have given it a half star or less of it...
Read moreWhere to start. I have lived in Spain since 2009 I am the owner of one of the most prestigious establishments on the islands. And never have or would I have thought that any "restaurant" would ever stay open with this standard of service, hospitality, hygiene,. When I seen the establishment and the staff attitude I did not order food, however my three friends dared. Food from a tin, staff have never been in any sort of training programme to warrant there employment in the service industry. Would like to state the staff front of house were not spanish, however they are an embarrassment to the Spanish service industry. This poor exuse of a restaurant is nothing other than a tourist trap for people who don't live on the island and will just except poor quality as a one of as they are on holiday.. The only thing good I can say about this poor example of a establishment in the industry is, they thought my friend was forty years old when he is in...
