Rincón de Pepe — Restaurant in Santanyí

How disapointing. Mi husband and i were here 2 years ago and it was fantastic but expensive. This evening we wanted a realy good meal to be certain of so we came back to this restaurant. I wanted a nice red wine and chose a merlot which only comes in a bottle (38 or 45 euros). I remarked that i will just have to take the rest home with me as my husband had to drive the car and chose alcohol free beer. I was given a taste from an open bottle, than the owner just poured me a glas and left. How odd but never mind i ll survive. We both ordered beef filet very very rear. My filet was in a small part medium the rest was well done due to the uneven cut. My husbands filet was medium rare to medium. We both couldnt work out what kind of sauce it was supost to be i tasted possibly soy sauce, mick said it tasted burned. We both didnt want it. Mick left 1/3 of his meat fries and veg. Let's make it clear I am choosy and a good home cook. My husband and I went by chance and curiosity. The menu is very small but sufficient which made me think that the food must be freshly cooked. We had to wait a little while as the owner is serving the restaurant all by him self. The food was very well cooked and tasty. Every thing is very clean and we had nice cutlery which made me feel at home. Usually we don't have a dessert but the cheesecake struck our attention which was really seriously very good we eat the lot even though the portion was very big. To summon it up we are very impressed and glad to have been told the restaurant may be open during the winter because we will definitely be back even though is is bit expensive. I think this owner is quite rightly very proud of his restaurant and doing his best to give his guests a lovely evening...

Let's just start with WOW - what wonderful food!

This restaurant is new for 2023 - situated between the Marina and the Cala Egos resort... probably 500m from each of them.

The menu is Mediterranean food and our group all had different dishes - two had meat, two seafood and one a salad. Each was skilfully prepared and attractively presented... we were really impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Service was attentive and knowledgeable.

Being just a short walk from the entrance to the Marina this is superior to those somewhat pretentious Marina restaurants that don't quite deliver.
