High potential restaurant when you judge it by its location and photos. Unfortunately for us, several things contributed to our utter disappointment.
First off, service was incredibly slow - we had to ask at least 3 times before we were served our still water.
Starters-wise, the seafood soup was alright, borderline too salty, but we were famished so that was bearable. The "Poke" dish was a disaster. Not even any fusion restaurant could argue it was an innovative take on the dish. Basically it was a salad of cos lettuce, raw beansprouts, smoked salmon, canned lychee, sliced melons - over rice? What?! That's definitely not a Poke we know of or anywhere near. Somewhere out there a Hawaiian person is crying that this is how the Poke is being represented.
What I could not give the benefit of the doubt to, on the other hand, was the entrecote steak which costed me no less than €20. First, it was served on a bed of rice - non-traditional. But the bigger issue was that I had specifically asked for a medium rare. What was served is what is normally considered a 99% well done. I was too full at this point to demand a replacement (I couldn't eat more than half the 250-300g cut, couldn't chew it anymore). Adding to our disappointment was when I had raised the over-doneness of my meat to the waiting staff who looked confused and proceeded to call another staff who had taken my order for me to repeat my comments to, then I got a forced, insincere apology and ultimately not even a discount or free dessert of any kind. Not good.
The overall sense we got was that the staff were hesitant to serve us. Surely language was not the issue, at least half the restaurants were British or American tourists. Worst value for our €80+ dinner. This one of the final nights of our 2 weeks in Spain, must say we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience...
Read moreWOW This was a very relaxing restaurant with beautiful view of luxury boats. When I arrived in I was greeted very quickly by one of the staff. I was seated handed a menu and asked would I like a drink in a very efficient manner. I ordered large glass of wine which promptly arrived and was poured at the table. I was asked would I like to order and I ordered the chicken curry. I then just sat back to relax and enjoying my glass of cold wine on a beautiful afternoon looking out at the yachts waiting on my food to arrived. This took approximately 15 minutes for the food to arrived. The presentation was absolutely beautiful and the smell was amazing. Not only did the food look good but it tasted fantastic. The curry sauce was slightly sweet with just enough spice to give a little bit of warmth. The chicken breasts full of flavour and moist, served alongside this was a small portion of rice a small baked potato and a portion of veg served in a Filo bowl. Part way through my meal I ordered another glass of wine which poured at the table in a fresh glass. The cost of the meal and the two glasses of wine...
Read moreIf you enjoy waiting for eternity while slowly losing the will to live, this is the place for you. We arrived with two small, starving children—a setup you’d think would inspire some urgency. Spoiler: it did not. Service was so delayed I began to question whether we’d accidentally wandered into a time warp. By the time our food arrived (roughly three episodes of Peppa Pig later), our kids had started eyeing each other like Lord of the Flies extras. The staff looked like they were one sigh away from quitting on the spot. No smiles, no urgency, just a collective vibe of “can’t be bothered.” I half expected someone to hand me a frying pan and tell me to cook it myself. Food? Dreadful. I’ve had more flavor from a damp napkin. Honestly, the high point of the night was when one of the kids dropped a chip on the floor it gave us something to look at. Never again. Would rather eat cereal at home and stare...
