Bar restaurante Sal y tomate — Restaurant in Seville

After a visit to the Plaza de Espagna, we were looking for something to eat. We passed this place and noticed a lot of locals enjoying some drinks and food. There is a small terrace, it was full so we went inside.

Our daughter has celiac disease: on the (online) menu you can filter the dishes and we got gluten-free bread. The waiters were very friendly and spoke a little English.

We then had the salmon with mango and the pulled beef burger. Both were very good and tasty. Depending on the dish you can choose tapas, small or large plate. We also ordered the scrambled eggs, which we didn't like, but that's a matter of taste.

We were walking around the city and wanted to find a place for lunch. We came by Sal y tomate. There were people on the porch having their lunch which looked good so we decided to walk in.

The server approached us immediately and led us into the dining room which was good as there was 40C outside. The friendly service continued throughout our stay.

We ordered grilled squid, tomato salad, and cod and potato salad. Everything was very good and well prepared.

Recomendable 100%. He estado ahí el pasado 8/5/25 sobre las 12 de la noche. En plena feria. Con las calles y los restaurantes petados de gente. Este también. Fué impresionante ver a qué ritmo estaba trabajando toda la plantilla de este restaurante y con qué simpatía y amabilidad lo hicieron todos los que atendieron nuestra mesa. Los salmorejos, las hamburguesitas, las tostas y el jamón que nos sirvieron estában como para ser calificados con la cota de la mayor excelencia posible, pero el ver trabajar a la plantilla entera al ritmo frenético que lo hacía y con la amabilidad a raudales que brindaban a los Clientes, hicieron que una simple cena se convirtiera en una experiencia digna de recordar de la Feria de Sevilla de 2.025. LA PENA es que este restaurante me pille tan lejos de Madrid, porque sería uno de los que visitaría con frecuencia. LA SUERTE es que trabajando como trabajan seguro que durará muchos años y podré comer ahí cada vez que vaya a Sevilla.
