Oh, where do I even begin? Our visit to Sevilla Aquarium was an absolute blast! As a parent, finding activities that engage and entertain the entire family can sometimes be a challenge, but this aquarium exceeded all our expectations.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with excitement, setting the perfect tone for our aquatic adventure.
Sevilla Aquarium boasts an impressive variety of marine life from all corners of the world. It was truly mesmerizing to witness the colorful fish, graceful rays, and majestic sharks swimming gracefully in their meticulously designed habitats. The attention to detail in recreating these underwater ecosystems is commendable, making it feel as though we were diving into the depths of the ocean.
What really stood out for us was the interactive nature of the exhibits. Our kids were completely captivated by the touch tanks, where they had the opportunity to gently stroke a starfish and feel the velvety texture of a sea anemone. The staff members were patient and enthusiastic, providing interesting facts about each creature and answering our children's endless stream of questions.
One highlight of our visit was the daily feeding sessions. Watching the skilled divers hand-feed the sharks and rays left us in awe. It was a thrilling experience that left a lasting impression on our little ones, sparking their curiosity and love for marine life.
Sevilla Aquarium also offers educational presentations and workshops, which we found both engaging and informative. Our kids were able to learn about the importance of marine conservation in a fun and interactive way. It's heartwarming to see an attraction that not only entertains but also instills a sense of responsibility towards our environment.
The facilities were clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable experience for families. The aquarium's layout was easy to navigate, and there were plenty of seating areas for when we needed a break.
Overall, our visit to Sevilla Aquarium was an unforgettable adventure that left a lasting impression on our family. The combination of stunning exhibits, interactive experiences, and knowledgeable staff made it a truly remarkable outing. Read moreWell worth the ticket price to visit the aquarium in Seville..... Lots to see and plenty of evidence of the conservation and breeding programs...... An amazing jellyfish display and a viewing window into the jellyfish breeding laboratory. It has a really large/deep tank with a few large sharks and rays amongst the residents, viewing bubbles, windows and a walk through tunnel, so a good variety of viewing platforms for all heights. It is intentionally dimly lit inside so beware of changes in floor level in a couple of places. The aquarium is situated a little out of the main sights of Seville a short and pleasant walk from the Plaza de Espana alongside the river, there is a cafe inside, toilets and the mandatory gift shop (didn't use any of these facilities so I can't comment). If there was a negative..... They were showing a large group of school children around......(I know, I've accompanied many a school trip) but it was dreadfully noisy, so much so, we rushed ahead to get ahead of the cacophony and I personally didn't get to spend quite as long in some areas as I would've liked.... (The seahorse tank...
Read moreThe Seville Aquarium is truly beautiful. While it is structured similarly to many other aquariums, what sets it apart — even compared to Barcelona — is its focus on species from other parts of the world, especially Latin America and beyond, rather than mainly Mediterranean fish. So, while in places like Monaco, Lausanne, or Barcelona you mostly see local species, here you’ll discover fish you normally wouldn’t find in those aquariums.
For example, you won’t see penguins like in many others, but instead you’ll find different and unique species. Tickets are reasonably priced (we paid €18 per adult), which is good value for what you get. The aquarium is large, clean, and the fish have plenty of space.
I’m usually quite picky when it comes to aquariums, but this one was an excellent experience. Without a doubt, it is one of the aquariums in Europe worth visiting, alongside those in...
