DO NOT GO THERE. We walked into this restaurant and were greeted by the owner. He first asked what language we spoke, and when we said English, he warmly welcomed us to his “family restaurant.” At first, we thought this would be a good experience. But instead of giving us a menu, he simply asked, “What would you like — seafood, beef, or pork?” When we answered, he only suggested one dish of lamb and beef. I found it strange that there was no menu at all. When I asked for one, he said that since it was “August,” an off-season in Seville, which is absolutely wrong, he didn’t have a menu. He also said the menu would be changing in September, not a good reason. He also claimed that the handwritten dishes on the wall, not all of them were available — which seemed odd, because he could easily erase or update them if that were true. I am including a picture of the menu written on the wall to prove that I was there in the restaurant. Things started to feel suspicious. When I asked how much the meal would cost, he immediately produced a printed bill for €130 — in a regular restaurant on the corner of a hospital. That was a red flag. I decided to leave. I was polite and honest, saying I have to pass and that I’d never seen a restaurant with no clear menu. The owner became angry. I even offered to pay for the bottle of water my son had already opened, but instead, he snapped, “Bye! Go to McDonald’s down the road!” No manners, no menu, and a ridiculous price — this felt like a complete scam. Don’t be fooled by the friendly greeting. Check the low-star reviews and see how he responds to them — you’ll notice the same rude and unprofessional behavior. Save yourself the trouble and go to a reputable restaurant instead. I’m sure he’ll reply to this review calling me “cheap” or claiming I didn’t try his food. But I refuse to be scammed — and travelers deserve to know the truth.

NOT EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY THAT I HAD THE BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE HERE. There are two parts of any good restaurant experience: quality food and quality service. This warm, friendly family-run restaurant has absolutely excelled in both. We asked for recommendations and they suggested the three things in the picture to share for three people which was the perfect portion. On the bottom was Cachopo, beef with ham and cheese fried in breadcrumbs. Absolutely phenomenal. On the left is Costillar: pork ribs cooked with a mustard and honey sauce. Amazing. On the right is a goat cheese salad that was soooo tasty. After spending weeks in Spain, eating tapas and steaks and all kinds of food from all over the country, I can say with absolute confidence, that this was the best meal I've had in this country. Real authentic Spanish food from the north of Spain. Also, the tiramisu after the meal was mind-blowing. Portion was also very big. As for the second component of quality service, this family was practically ready to adopt us as their sons by the time the meal was over. They were so generous in a number of ways because their mantra is "when we give, we give everything we have and when we feed our patrons, we make the food as if we were to eat it". And that's what made it the best meal I've ever had in my life. If you step foot in Seville, it is practically sinful not to eat at this place.

Overall, this was a win for our group. There were several unique, local dishes if you're adventurous but also "safe" options if you're traveling with picky eaters. Price is about average for tapas in Seville, but maybe a little cheaper here. The owner served us and it was a small, cozy restaurant. I'd always be happy to go back! I am a pescetarian (vegetarian + seafood) and had no issues with the menu. A vegetarian will not have a hard time. We had someone in our group with a gluten allergy and the wait staff were accommodating – they made a gluten-free version of some dishes for him. The options were plentiful too. One of my favorites was the "huevos rotos con gulas", which are fried eggs with some seafood on top. It was delicious and different from many things I tried in Seville. Our group really loved this place. We were holding a small conference in a nearby hotel, and after we found this place, we can multiple times in the week. The owner was incredibly friendly and we were always treated well. On our last night, the owner even went to the front and sang for the restaurant. It was nice! Whenever I am back in Seville, I'll come here again.

Guy has no menu and just tries scamming tourists. We sat down and asked for a menu to which he said he doesn’t have. He continued “suggest” things to us and when we asked for the price before ordering, it came out to be around €45 per person. We then said we were not interested to which he freaked out and called us cheap. Save your time and money and do not visit this scam artist. If we hadn’t asked the price, I can assure you it would’ve been more. The guy working there is a slimy, rude, annoying, and arrogant excuse for a boss. If it were up to him, he’d steal your wallet right from you. Plus, his shirt was covered in stains (not food related) which I didn’t find sanitary at all. Im not surprised the restaurant was empty when I visited. I’d leave negative stars if possible. Disgusting.

response to owners response You told us to stop looking at the menu because most things are not on it. You told us the options without any prices and when I pulled out my phone to look up the menu, you got visibly annoyed and said “most things are not on the menu”. You’re a liar. Even though we were extremely kind to you and offered to pay for the water before leaving your scam, you said “no don’t pay…. You’re cheap… go to McDonald’s…” and so on. If I was rude, I would’ve left without telling you. Also, if I had wet to McDonald’s, it would’ve tasted better than anything you serve there. Shut down your terrible “business” if you can’t...
