Cafeteria Sa Gavina — Restaurant in Son Servera

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Staying in Porto Cristo and took a boat trip for the day which stopped at Cala Mallor for 2 hours. Sat down for lunch, even before the waitress had given us the menus I was told to tuck my chair under the table more. The food was fine. Waited about 15 minutes trying to ask for the bill but could not get her attention. I decided to go inside and try to pay, to be told to go and sit back at the table by the young man working in there. So like a scolded child I retreated back to the table and waited. The rude waitress then came out with the bill, I had my card out ready to give payment and she walked off and never came back. We could see our boat coming, so again I went inside with the bill to pay. Again the young man told me to sit down. I tried telling him the boat was approaching and we needed to get on it. On my way back to the table the rude waitress was coming in with plates. As I approached her, she tried telling me to sit down. I told her we had to catch the boat. She barked at me "one minute". She went behind the counter and came back with the card machine, entered the amount and walked off. Never have I ever left somewhere without leaving a tip....apart from...

The nicest place in Cala Millor! On this beach walk filled with restaurants / bars / cafés competing with each other about being the most soulless and generic, Sa Gavina is the only place (that we could find at least) which offers this wonderful view over the ocean, but still has a nice old fashioned decoration, authentic feeling and friendly atmosphere. We came here several times for drinks and tapas, and even had dinner one night. Sadly enough, the kitchen was very busy that night so we had to wait a long time, but when the food came, it was fair and accurate. The food is nothing to brag about - you get what you pay for - but it's cheap and fulfill the expectations. The drinks on the other hand are generous, tasteful and delicious. JUST AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

arrived at this place tables where dirty, waitress then complained about cleaning the tables saying she only wanted to clean one. Pretty sure it’s a her job to clean all the dirty tables once the previous customers have left?

After that she had a strop in about serving us after placing our food order it took way over an hour for the food to arrive and it all arrived undercooked. By this point I just got up and wanted to leave

Asked to pay for a portion of the bill and got shouted at and told I had to pay for it all so if you want to pay separately this is not allowed at this establishment.

For this place to be successful the owner needs to have a serious look at the staff that’s employed and potentially change certain individuals that work there as the staff that are currently there need to sort out there manners and how they speak to...
