We went here recently and it was incredible. It's hard, often, to find good places when the entire beach front is full of restaurants. Sometimes you find the perfect place by accident, like we did with The Coconut Shack.
Service: The Owners and staff were amazing. They were chatty, friendly and loved to talk about their food and the business. They were always making sure to make conversation with their customers and those walking by.
Our needs were always met, and even when the owner was on his break, eating his own lunch, he made sure to get us what we needed.
Drinks: I had a Mojito and a Margarita. They were the best ones I've had here. The right amount of flavour and alcohol, they were honestly, perfect. We also had beer and soft drinks, but I definitely wanted to call out the amazing cocktails.
Food: The food was amazing. Their mains really consist of Skewers of meat and veg (or just veg) that are grilled and cooked to perfection, with different flavours. (We had 2 chicken ones, with 2 different flavours) and both were incredible, even to the point that our toddler kept taking our food!
The salad that came with it was so amazing. We've found it hard to get a good salad here, but this one that came with our skewers was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommended!
We also ordered the Nachos. They were so delicious, with guacamole which was perfectly flavourful. We also added Beef to the nachos, which tbh, was so cheap for how much you got with the nachos. To add meat to the nachos it was only €2 which was a steal.
Then we had Ice cream from their ice cream stall (you can get this separately and take it with you if you want) and it was amazing too. I had the Lemon sorbet which was so refreshing.
This place is nestled between lots of touristy and gimmicky places, but it shines much brighter than the others. Please make sure to go...
Read moreI went there on my birthday on Saturday, originally booked for 12pm but they said they had a party and want to push it back to 1pm, there was no party at all. Anyway, service was so slow, waited 30mins for drinks and an hour for food. It was just one girl and the chef but then when we were leaving another girl showed up. The girl that took our food order just didnt understand when I told her one of us didnt do well with spice so could I please have half of my kebab as cajun and other half garlic butter cooked separately, she confidentally told me she will sort it but instead did the whole thing cajun and brought out garlic butter in a bowl, Drinks were good. We ended up cancelling the last drink which was ordered an hour before we left because it was taking way too long and the girl did the bill in such a weird way meaning we paid more than we should have, we just wanted to pay and leave do i didnt push it.
Edited to reply to their reply: Personal things should never affect a business and especially not your customers. It is such a beautiful location yet the inside looks like someone's garage. Sort it out and sort your staff out and just do better and you just might have a successful business on your hands, not just one that is Instagram worthy on the outside. I dont live in Mallorca so I will not be back, was there for a holiday. 2nd Edit: The hanging kebab comes with a side of either potato salad or fries. I chose potato salad. The kebab came out with fries and when I mentioned I didnt want fries the dumb girl said it came with potatoes but the fries are the potatoes. Makes zero sense....
Read moreA disapointment unfortunately. We were looking forward to this dinner after reading all the great reviews and reserved a table two days in advance.
The atmosphere is very nice with the location next to the esplanade. Nice staff too.
Though the food was our big disapointment. The beef skewer were so overcooked it is hard to describe. Gray meet all way through and no juicyness left whatsoever. Hard to slice and hard to chew. Hade to put quite a lot of salt on the meat to be able to eat it, but it was close to discusting to be honest.
The chicken skewer were also cooked to the point that is was completely out of jucyness and quite heavliy burnt on one side.
The cheese salad.... the cheese salad folks, it should not be served in any restaurant anywhere. The chese in this case consist of pizza topping cheese. The rest was lettuce more or less. Embarrasing.
Chicken tacos were nice and properly cooked.
At this point the owner usually respond to this post saying that we should have told the staff about this during the visit. Well, we would have if someone had bothered to come by and ask us if everything was ok. But noone did during the whole dinner....
So the conclusion is that this unfortunately was an overpriced disapointment. Maybe, hopefully, we just had bad luck since most of the other reviews are 5-star. But I honestly cannot...
