Smithy's Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Son Servera

Went to this restaurant with my family, and wow… what an experience. I ordered the ribeye steak, and my family got the curry, lasagna, chicken breast, and burger — all of which could have been cooked by the same sad microwave in the back.

The steak had some flavor, I’ll give them that, but I had to perform surgery to remove the mountain of fat before I found anything resembling meat. The curry? Tasted like it was lovingly poured straight from a jar. The rest of the dishes had the exact same level of passion — zero.

This place advertises itself as “British food,” and they nailed it — the most painfully average, tourist-trap kind of British food you’d expect to find in a random Spanish beach town catering exclusively to homesick Brits.

Would I recommend it? Sure — if you’re a 50-year-old guy named Dave from Yorkshire who thinks ketchup is spicy. Otherwise,...

Just arrived back from 2 weeks in Cala Bona and I have to say Smithys absolutely made our holiday! Just the loveliest staff you could ever meet, always ready with a smile & chat, even at their busiest, and the food was out of this world. If you like a fillet steak then look no further, they are cooked and seasoned to perfection. My daughter likes her steak blue, which many places even at home get wrong, but both times at Smithys they were beautiful. We ate dinner here a few times, breakfast a couple of days (with a proper cup of tea which I really appreciated) and drinks most days and the standard was always incredibly high. Thanks to Grant (finder of taxis), Jodie, Hayley and Brook (steak chef extraordinaire) and all the rest of the team for making us so welcome. Can't wait to visit...

This a special place for visiting. At the first place I need to put their food. We’ve visited this place 4 times during my vacation and all times the quality of dishes was at the highest level. Original Guinness, tasty alcohol cocktails - it may take to long time to name each cocktail here, but I’m pretty sure that anyone can find something great, great coffee- I didn’t realize that it may be a problem in Spain, and really nice and fast service-especially I would like to say thanks for waiters. And I can’t miss taste of vegetables at this place. If you order any dish with salad - you won’t miss, be sure in it. In order to make conclusion, I rate Smithy’s - 5 starts. P.s.: I forget to say a few words about music. It’s insane. 100% of old classic rock from 70s up to 90s....
