WAIKIKI — Restaurant in Son Servera

I’ll start off by saying I don’t post many/if any 1* reviews, however, it’s fully deserved. Popped in here on the way passed as it looked a good spot and the food looked good from what we could see.

It took a good 10mins before I had to flag a young guy down to take a drinks order, it took another 20mins to actually get the drinks (2x Cokes).

On trying to flag down the older gentleman (I assume the owner/manager) (1st attempt) he put his hand out and said “2mins”, (2nd attempt) when we asked if we could order, he put his hand out and advised he “had other tables to close out and it would be quicker if he done this first), then walked off. At this point we had decided we wouldn’t be eating due to the length of time, even though the food did look good at the tables around us.

At this point I asked for the bill, he sounded extremely exasperated that we had chosen not to order and stormed inside, I was told “come inside”

He then proceeded to tell me that he was 2 staff short and very busy (the restaurant was half full outside and no one inside), almost as if we had inconvenienced him by coming in. I’m no expert, if you have staff shortages and struggling with demand, maybe point this out before people order anything.

I noticed we weren’t the only one with issues as others around us constantly had to chase their orders.

My family have been coming to this restaurant over 10 years. I and them have seen them develop through out the years. As every restaurant has their bad days they have their bad days too some people don't understand how hard to is to run a small medium sized restaurant with limited amount of staff. However they always make it up with the best service weather by giving out free shots, allowing us to recommend music or discount on the bill. You also have to remember you are in a different country where they have a whole different type of background and therefore don't expect them to speak your language however waikiki does not struggle with languages there is a lot of workers there that are bilingual and most of them are actually from different countries making it honestly one of the best atmosphere we've been too hence we will forever keep...

Service when arrived was great then another waitress took over and served us made us feel uncomfortable, took order messed order 3 times, waitress was clearly overwhelmed but restaurant was very quiet, asked for beef they gave me pork and tried to tell me it was beef when it definitely was not, partners pork was very raw to the point he was put off the meal, food all came at different times which meant kids ate first then partner then I was waiting on them remaking food which meant my sides were freezing when asked for a fresh sauce we got a bad attitude, ordered large drink gave me a small but tried to charge for large, very disappointed in this service.
