We had a very good meal at the other Namaste restaurant in Costa Teguise. However, our experience when using their takeaway service was quite disappointing. Firstly, when we ordered over the phone and asked them to confirm the price it was significantly higher than on the menu we'd been given that day by the restaurant. I understand prices go up, but it would be good to inform customers of this. Secondly, when we got there, we were told that the number we'd been given was for the wrong restaurant, i.e. playa not cucharas, meaning another 10 minutes' walk and that the curry was a little cold when we got it back. Thirdly, when finally getting to the restaurant the price was even higher than I'd been told on the phone, however this may simply have been a misunderstanding on the phone. Fourthly, when picking up the curry the waiter strongly insinuated that I should leave a tip, which I would not expect when collecting a take away order, especially after the inconvenience of having to go to a different restaurant and pay more than 25% more than the menu stated. Read moreI was a little disappointed here. The beautiful aroma drew me in to this restaurant but the flavours were lacking. As a single diner I waited a long time to be served and was only attended to after I asked if I could order. Once I’d ordered my starter, service was much better. I had the keema rice and lamb Dopiaza. Both were disappointing and without the depth of flavour that Indian food is renowned for. I’ve had both of these dishes many times before as they are my favourite and Namaste’s was not as enjoyable. I have no doubt that other dishes are delicious but my experience was not great unfortunately. Dishes are reasonably priced and good value for money. Food was nicely presented and I was given a complementary shot which was...
