Beach Bar — Restaurant in Teguise

Just called in with my family for a drink - we opted for a table with 4 chairs as that’s how many there were of us and we wanted something in the shade. The table had some dirty glasses on so I politely moved them off the table so we could sit down. I went into the bar to ask for a menu so we could have a look whilst the staff were busy serving others. A male staff member came over and wiped the table to which we thanked him. He took our drink order and then asked if we had taken the Pringles our children were eating off the bar, I simply explained we had been to the shop and brought them to which he said ok. We had ordered Heineken off the menu however when it came it was a tiny bottle, to which we questioned - he explained it stated the size on the menu however when I pointed out it doesn’t he said well ‘it doesn’t say large either’. We said we weren’t happy to pay for the size of the bottles to which the male staff started to become verbally aggressive in front of my children and other customers. When we asked why he was shouting at us he started to verbally attack my husband saying he looked like an impolite person, that we had made an issue of the dirty table to which we hadn’t, he also said why have you sat on a table that needed cleaning etc. He was VERY VERY RUDE. We walked out and refused to pay for the drinks. He obviously wasn’t a happy man therefore I wouldn’t give him any business unless you want to be insulted and shouted at for no...

What an awful experience. Walked jn and took a seat waiting to be served. I placed a bottle of water I had been carrying on the table. My first contact with serving staff was when I was approached haughtily and asked me to remove the water bottle I had with me from the table as I had not purchased it there. I did as asked and tried to order drinks but was treated to a rear view of "Miss Haughty" rushing off elsewhere. At this point I should have left but decided to persist. I eventually secured a drink for us but service standard was not good and we were made to feel an inconvenience. Paid and didn't wait for change which I assume they think was a tip but in reality I just didn't want any further interaction. Wife paid visit to toilets which were of a similar standard to service. I popped into today for an early lunch. I ordered the classic burger with no onion. When burger came down I noticed there was mayonnaise on the burger,.I called the waitress over and told her it does not say mayonnaise on your menu she said yes a know but it's tradition here in Lanzarote to have mayonnaise on your burger. I sent it back which she was ok with. A few mins later the waitress came out with a new burger. I cut into it and it was very pink/red in the middle clearly not cooked another waiter noticed I was not happy he came down and I showd him and he said oh and offed another burger to me which I said No they did not charge me for it which I would not have paid for anyway but they were full of apologies....
