Would not recommend to anyone. We was here today. We arrived at 3pm and seated. While we were waiting for a menu, another table of 4, came in and sat directly behind us. This table was served with menus promptly. We waited for the server to come back and had to ask for our menu. We made an order for drinks and food. Then the server went to the next table and took there order aswell..which ok fair enough. But then there order was delivered to there table. We still sat waiting for our drinks. The table behind us food arrived, we were still waiting for our drinks. We had to ask again after 40 minutes of waiting for our drinks to arrive if we could have our drinks. 10 minutes later our first drinks arrived. 1 tea, 1, Irish coffee, 1 hot chocolate, it was cold (I asked for it to be hot). Also brought us knifes and forks and condiments. Then we waited another 15minutes for our food. It got to the point we were going to pay our drinks bill and leave because the waiting was ridiculous, 4 other tables came in and got served food and drinks in the 40 minutes we waited for our drinks. After waiting nearly an hour (and watching people who had come in after us and be served food and drinks) our food arrived. We hadn't noticed our knifes and forks was dirty until we went to eat. We asked for more, they didn't come so we decided to clean them out selfs before our food got cold. After we ate (the food was Luke warm) we asked for another round of teas and coffees, when these came, the cups and milk jug was filthy. Visited 3 times in the first half of our holiday for coffee. On our first visit we sat & waited 10 mins to be acknowledged. When this didn't happen, I approached a rather sultry waitress to be told 'we come to you'. The coffee was excellent. On finishing we sent payment with the waitress. The payment was much more than the cost of coffee so change was due but never came. It wasn't a tip. Fed up we left. We decided to give the bar the benefit of the doubt & treat this as a one off with the bar having such a beautiful setting. We decided to try again the next day. The second visit was okay, but the waitress was again very sultry & gave off the impression she was overworked, although the bar only had a 8 tables occupied. Our third visit the next day, came with acknowledgement on arrival. We ensured we said hello to the waitress to ensure she knew we were there & avoid any confusion. We took our seats waited & waited & waited. She never came to our table. Given I had received a rebuff on the first morning I decided to go quietly & find where she was. The waitress was tidying a quiet area of the bar, oblivious of my presence. This experience coupled with the awful service received on the previous visits, made us decide to sacrifice a nice location & look for somewhere else. Lovely little place. Shame about the staff. Ordered a long Island iced tea, no problems. , I asked for my cocktail, to be with out vodka-- (blue Curaçao, vodka, lemonade) Didnt think this was un-reasonable, same price, just leave out the vodka. Was told no, as it wouldn't taste the same, I asked if I could just buy blue Curaçao n lemonade then, again got told no. As my hubby was looking fwd to his, I just said fine. 19 euros. It was like there was zero sense, same price, leave out the vodka, I'm not asking for extras, replacement, or anything else, just leave out the vodka. It's not rocket.
