We've been there the second time while being at the airport of Gran Canaria. The first time last year was a pretty good experience. Thus we decided to visit it this year again.
To O'Learys: Reputation comes and goes with the staff!
We went there to drink and maybe eat something. After checking the menu we decided to stay only with drinks. When the waitress, who was not friendly even when we entered, realised we only want drinks she told us with a very unkind behavior that for "drinks only" over there is the bar, while this is the restaurant! (no need to mention there were still many empty tables). I mean, you can tell the story to the customer in two different ways. She definitely picked the wrong one. Anyway, she brought our drinks and put them pretty rude on the table. We where about to ask if we should move over to the bar, but she interrupted with this "now you can stay" manner. What made the experience even worse were the dirty glasses she brought with the drinks. Thank god she did not pour the drinks into the glasses! We drank out of the bottle, putting the glasses aside. Sat here waiting for my plane. Thought I would catch up with work during the next 4 hours of waiting.
The charging points were out of order, which is less than ideal in an airport setting.
I ordered the fish and chips – the fish was overly oily and the chips were just passable. Not acceptable considering the prices!

To top it off, several fellow diners had videos and reels blaring from their phones with no headphones in sight. It felt more like a busy arcade than a restaurant where you’re meant to unwind before a flight.
Service was good though. The female servers were polite and friendly.
Not somewhere I’d choose to...

I ordered a simple cheeseburger, but the experience was anything but simple. The chaos began when I had to wait over an hour. When I finally went to the bar to ask where my food was, I was met with indifference – “it’s the kitchen’s problem,” they said. After another hour, I approached the kitchen staff myself, only to be sent back to the bar. Back and forth I went, until I finally got my cheeseburger.
But the nightmare didn’t end there. The food served was of a quality lower than McDonald’s – and that says a lot. Not a single apology was offered, and since I had already paid, I had no choice but to eat what was served.
It is unacceptable for a restaurant at an international airport to operate at this level – both in terms of service and food quality. Avoid this place...
