LaCena by Nola - Moraira — Restaurant in Teulada

I give them 1 star because I can't give them ZERO and I will explain why: Last year I was in area 15 days and every day I eated to La cena. Was fatanstic!! That is the reason for this year when I parked my car in blue line (max.2h) and because was very hot (12 o'clock) I make my order with drinks (beer and some juice), first meal (soup) and second (fish and duck, duck because a year ago was delicious). And after that we wait, 10 min, 15 min, 20 min. The drinks arrived ( i will mention again / was very hot outside and I was inside) and after that one more time waiting more 50 min. So after 1 hour and 10 the soup came. First soup- chicken soup was horrible ( kg salt) / for preservation but surprise, the second soup was Prawn soup full of preservative substance and after 10 min I make an allergie ( I DON'T HAVE ALLERGIE BUT THE QUANTITIE WAS BIG). OK. After 30 min more I asked the waiter if my second meal come or not. He is return in 10 more minute and I finished in total 1 h 55 min all. I ran to my car for not have a ticket. I was streght to farmacie for allergie.

So conclusion, no respect for clients, no minimum Sorry, no nothing. Ah no the prices are with 15-20 % more

Managed to get a table without a reservation. They do a Menu del Dia, but it was a bit fishy for us. We ordered dough buns, with allioli etc, to share for a starter. I had the pork medallions with added pepper sauce and my wife went for the veggie burger. Pork was oerfect, as long as you don't mind it slightly pink. Veggies were lovely and crunchy. My wife's burger was very tasty but came out cold in the middle. The waiter apologised and took it back. A complete fresh meal replaced it and we were not charged for it. Staff all very apologetic. Drink was house white and red wine in generous measures. Prices very reasonable, even discounting the free burger. We didn't have a dessert, but a complementary limoncello arrived. General comment: the food is excellent. I think they are still struggling a bit with timings and service - I could hear the next table having a bit of a moan. The staff are very pleasant and attentive, so it's tricky to know where the problem lies - possibly the kitchen.. Definitely worth trying, as the food makes up for any service...

My family and I have visited La Sena three times in the last few weeks. I don’t often write reviews (which I should certainly do more often) but I feel I really have to on this occasion. I’m so impressed with this place and the staff that run it. It is obvious that the staff are trained to a high standard, from the front of house to the kitchen. Everyone that works here clearly takes pride in what they do and operate as a happy and efficient team. The service is excellent, always with a smile and a friendly word. The food is equally as impressive, being inexpensive and of really good quality. We love this place. Jesus is the only name we know but all the team are equally as great. Whoever owns this business should be very proud indeed! Look forward to visiting...
