La Mafia se sienta a la mesa — Restaurant in Tomares

i would like to Review our experience with this italian restaurant.

location and service and bottled drinks were very good. however, the food itself was strongly below average italian food. it was sad.

for Starters we had Briciole trufado con huevos and Focaccia con pomodorini e burrata. 15 Euro is a hefty price for a starter, but because the Restaurant was new, the Service was nice and the review score was high we took the risk.

what followed was the First disappointment. the bacon was like a cheap Bacon snack from the super market, the toastpieces were burned, it all didnt taste and didnt fit together, i was scared for the main course.

the focaccia was edible, but nothing to write home about and I wouldve definitely prefereed any normal 5 euro Bruschetta over it.

now to the main course: Risotto Boletus and Napolitana pomodoro rosso con burrata fresca.

the risotto was like a greasy cream soup with some rice floating in it topped of with some truffle oil and some more other oil. unedible. terrible. not a risotto. a hot grease soup that wouldnt cool down because its served in a hot pan. I am not a cook, but if I made an internship in a kitchen I would on my first day not misidentify this grease soup with a risotto and let it leave the kitchen. terrible. I am a hungry big man and I couldnt eat this garbage.

the pasta pomodoro tasted like curry Ketchup. sad. and all this for 16 euro in...

The first time I visited I didn’t like it that much, we got a small plate and the food was cold, nevertheless , this time changed my opinion! The pasta was fresh and tasteful the rice was on point and the staff were super friendly, nothing in comparison with my first experience. To be honest the dessert didn’t convince but besides that, was a wonderful meal, even the black rice with shrimp was awesome ( and I not a big fan of it)! Coming back for sure. The only thing I didn’t like was that the place gets crowded ( good for them) but they need some extra waiters the guys were running around to serve...

Hemos ido varias veces, siempre hemos salido bastante contentos tanto con el servicio como con la comida y la atención… hasta ayer. Ninguna pega con la comida, como siempre bastante bien, pero el servicio y la atención de pena, no entiendo la costumbre o manía de acumular comensales en la misma zona prácticamente unos encima de otros. Llegamos a las 22:00 para cenar y literalmente tenían 2 mesas ocupadas separadas por otras 2 mesas vacías, te preguntan si tienes reservas, le decimos que no y la chica va al encargado para preguntarle donde nos sienta, pues tiene que ser justo en una de las 2 mesas que separan a las otras 2 ocupadas, una mesa que si alargo el brazo le puedo quitar el pan a los de al lado, pedimos que nos pongan en otra parte más retirados (por comodidad y discreción) tanto para nosotros como para la otra mesa, no ponen pegas ni problemas como es normal, pero no les sentaría muy bien, en concreto una de las camareras parecía que no tenía ganas ni humor de trabajar, a partir de ahí el servicio dejó mucho que desear, pedimos una botella de vino que la trajo sin cubitera, la pusieron más tardes, pedimos también una botella de aguas y las copas nos las pusieron en la esquina de la mesa, pedimos entrantes y platos únicos y lo sirven a la vez, mi mujer estaba aún con el entrante y le pusieron en plato prácticamente encima, literalmente encima de los cubiertos que estaba utilizando, la verdad que una decepción, se notó la poca profesionalidad en un restaurante de “cierta categoría “ nos sorprendió mucho lo incómodo que nos sentimos por que como he dicho antes hemos ido varias veces y siempre hemos salido contentos, seguramente no volveremos ya que por la zona hay más opciones de...
