Cafetería Begobé Torremolinos — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Today we visited this beautiful cafe, but the situation we experienced is what gave us this rating. We were served at the bakery by a kind person who told us about the sweets, and then by two very friendly waitresses, smiling and supporting our Spanglish. Unfortunately, the coffee was very strong, burnt, and cold, along with the tea, so we asked for a change. The waitress politely said no problem, then we heard a dark-haired woman yelling at the bar, mistreating the waitress. This situation made us very uncomfortable; the poor waitress came back apologizing for the other person. I think the owners, if they read this, should be careful who they put in front of the public. I stayed in Torremolinos for two weeks and visited this coffee shop almost daily. At first, I enjoyed the experience, but over time, I noticed a decline in service. The staff always seem rushed and very short with clients, which made the atmosphere less welcoming.

Additionally, tables are often left dirty, likely due to how quickly the place fills up in the mornings and afternoons. It seems like there’s a shortage of staff to handle the volume of customers. On the positive side, the pastries are quite good, and the convenient location is a plus. However, the service urgently needs improvement to match the quality of the food and the popularity...

We have been going to Begobé since quite some time for different occasions: breakfast, lunch or evening snacking. It's great for taking a lunch break with some light food. I'd recommend Bagels over there from menu. Vegasano is my favourite one. Coffee is delicious. Waters are attentive and friendly. Always welcoming. Sadly, sometimes it gets super crowded and you will wait long for your order to be taken and served, so please have patience or wait for another time.
