Marisquería La Chacha — Restaurant in Torremolinos

First, poor customer service. The man working there was quite rude and showed very impatient attitude. He was fighting with the woman and the teenager in the kitchen while customers were waiting to order. Also, the staffs there looked dead inside, but I don’t blame them if they are working under poor leadership. Also, after we chose our seafood, the man just weight it and tell the price, but we cannot see the screen of the scale so basically he could’ve randomly put any price. This is quite dishonest or as least it will make customer feel like that.

Second, bad hygiene. After we chose our seafood, the man opened it and just threw it to the clean plate next to the grill, which it is for cooked food, later on they put the cooked food in the same plate and serve. The bread dropped on the counter, and the man just put it back to the plate with his bare hand.

Third, the food and price. The food is overpriced, you could find many better and cheaper places in the same area. The seafood quality is not bad, but doesn’t feel like it worth that much.

We usually chose our restaurant carefully, read reviews before visiting, but this time we didn’t and the whole experience feels...

We were curious on trying some fresh seafood, especially the jumbo shrimp on the grill. The place is always packed and so hard to find a table. The staff speaks almost no English at all and the menu was entirely in Spanish. We chose, what we thought was shrimp on the menu and was told it was 7 euros. We got a plate of octopus salad and bread. When the plate of 3 grilled shrimps was served the women started to shout in Spanish! Someone from the cue explained that we hadn't payed for them, therefore extra 18 euros!!! Didn't make any sense! Then what was the 7 euros for and then adding the 18 euros...total 25 euros for 3 shrimps+bread+octopus salad! Total frauds! There's no explanation! There's no proper English! Not a friendly restaurant at all. Just felt like a rip off! Way too expensive and rude manners from them all!...

Bueno solo deciros una cosa al empresario y a los trabajadores llevo 25 años en la hostería trabajando con el pescado soy malagueño y vivo en Torremolinos vaya con decirle que mi perro se llama cenachero pero bueno llegó a la marisquería a las tres y me dicen que tengo 20m para comer empezamos bien nadie me trae la bebida tengo que pedirla y pasar al monto venga vale servicio cero venga vamos seguimos pido unas gambas plancha navajas y huevas por qué viendo lo que había en la vitrina no se apetecía nada la verdad esto ha cambiado mucho y si quiere os puedo aconsejar las cigalas esas que tenéis congelass que no valen ni para arroz ni se exponen en vitrina por qué nadie te las va a pedir ni los jumbos negros ni lo langostino cocidos igualmente bueno a lo que voy pido ganas plancha y me ponen langostinos que están más caros que tampoco lo entiendo pero bueno le cobran lo recojo yo y le digo que esto no son gambas y me dicen que no tienen y le digo si os pedí ganas no langostino y pasadisimos total un desastre salen las navaja que con cuatro trabajadores no le la llevan a la mesa ya ni el pan ni aceitunas ni los cubiertos yo que estoy de descanso después de una semana que le doy a 300 persona de comer pescados y mariscos me tenga que servir yo vale venga llegan las navajas a las plancha coño si no valen ni para pescar tirarlas o échale el chimichurri par disimular ni una nis podemos comer lo único bueno las huevas que se las comió mi mujer a la plancha por qué no hay freidora y vaya como digo soy experto en pescado en marisco desde 25a y esto lo vi fatal de como antiguamente estaba le aconsejo tiene un buen negocio en un sitio previligado haga ser sonar en Torremolinos yo soy malagueño llevo 10a en Torremolinos y me ha decepcionado no lo siguiente esto lo digo para que mejoreis para un buen para ustedes las navas cuando se compran si vienen en paquetes del Mercadona mejor ni comprarla pero vaya cuando se comprar navajas fresas see meten en agua de la mar un par de horas te duran un ora de días si hace falta le dais vida otra vez con agua de la mar y si no a la basura no la vemdais por qué no sirve como digo ni para pescar lo siento no sé si es primera reseña o la segunda pero si no lo digo reviento me duele como profesional que soy...
