Restaurante El Toro Azul — Restaurant in Torremolinos

My wife and I should have a nice seafood dinner and we choosed this place. First, it was difficult to communicate and order as the staff did not speak or understand english but ok. We are in Spain and we could use translation app. We thought that we understood each other, with the serving ladies about our order. The wine came after a while and it was the wrong wine ( not the one I ordered) the lady took it away and came back with the right one(I thought) but this white wine was very warm (undrinkable) . Then she came back again with another bottle in a ice bucket. (Good). So, we eat the pulpo and the fish that was ordered. And when we should take the bild, it was some surprises. I noticed that the price of the wine was more expensive than it was listed and the same with the pulpo. I asked why and after a while the boss came and informed me I got another wine and another pulpo that I ordered. But it was my fault, no other customers was complaining! So of course it was my fault. I found this gent very unprofessional , blaming me when they did several faults. I really don't recommend this place. I would have been happy with an apologize and a small compensation but instead he turn it arround and complained about me. Very bad behaviour . Most bad place we have been in...

03SEPT2021. there won't be another time, don't bother!

We've been several times here over the past 2 / 3 years. The food is good, the service as well, good prices, nice views, nice decoration, the staff know their job. ...But, that was the last time. It was busy, people were waiting to have a table. We still had our main dish in front of us. The vultures/waiters started circling: are you done, sir? my partner was done, yes, they just took away his plate...just like that, i was still eating. I thought...ok, f@c& it, dont wanna spoil my evening. Minutes later, to me, are you done, sir? Helllooooooo, i am still holding a fork and knife in my hands, no, im not bloody finished, when i finish i will set them at 4:20 on my plate, then yes, you can take my plate away. they didn;t even bother to ask if we want coffee, etc. So, we just paid and left, went for coffee and tia marias somewehere else.

We had starter, bottle of wine, etc. You know the funny thing, owner? we spend, sometimes, more money on coffee and spirits afterwards than food!! easy earned money for you! nop,...

Walked passed here several times, the guy was always giving out leaflets so we thought we'd try it tonight. Meat paella for 2, well it could easily do 4! Absolutely fantastic food, rice was excellent, meat was very well cooked and this was our 2nd paella in 3 days, the 1st down near the beach which we thought was good, but these guys do it on another level ! Excellent service, rapid turnaround of tables and fantastic tinto de verano. Prices are very good. Definitely worth a try.

So, went back again tonight. Baby lamb chops that my beloved had were tiny! A very little amount of meat she said, what was there was tasty, but definitely more starter size. However, I ordered the sollomillo (fillet steak) and it was hands down the BEST steak I've EVER had!!!!! Argentinian beef. Absolutely amazing! Perfectly cooked, Perfectly seasoned. Best meal I've had in 10 days, and all our meals have been fantastic! Don't go for the baby lamb chops, they are tiny. The fillet steak is definitely worth the few more Euros! Such a pity we go home tomorrow and we've just...
