RESTAURANTE SHAMBA — Restaurant in Torremolinos

While there were a few positive aspects to our dining experience, several service issues significantly impacted our visit.

On the positive side, our drinks were ordered and served promptly at the beginning of our meal, and once our food order was taken, the dishes arrived quickly.

However, the service suffered from notable delays and inattention. Despite the restaurant not being at full capacity and having adequate staffing levels, we had to wait approximately 20 minutes before we could get a server's attention to place our food order. After finishing our meal, we experienced another lengthy delay of over 30 minutes just to request our check, followed by an additional 20-minute wait.

These extended waiting periods, particularly given the apparent staffing availability, made for a frustrating dining experience. While the food service was efficient once orders were placed, the overall service coordination needs improvement.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment to others...

A bit of a strange one… The venue itself looks great and was only about 50% full when we visited, so we thought we’d stop for food and drinks. Unfortunately, the customer service felt off from the start—staff didn’t seem particularly interested. We were shown to a table and handed an iPad for the menu. About 10 minutes later, someone came to take our order, but it almost felt like we were inconveniencing him.

The cocktails weren’t great. The food was disappointing: chicken was dry, chips were greasy and oil-soaked, scallops lacked flavour, and the gambas pil pil were just as bland.

It was also incredibly difficult to get anyone’s attention. We wanted to order more drinks, but after waiting a long time and even trying to call over staff, we eventually gave up and left.

To top it off, while we were eating, staff were loudly shouting orders to the kitchen from the terrace—directly behind my seat—which didn’t exactly add to the atmosphere.

Personas con poca educación, que no tratan a la gente con respeto, Peleando entre ellos en la cocina y por el bar, llegas a la puerta no te atienden y cabreados gritándote te dicen que están cerrados cuando tienen toda la terraza llena Y son las 11:00 de la noche. Si no le gustan su trabajo, que busquen otra cosa o se dediquen a otra cosa, porque a la hostelería desde luego no valen. Personas amargadas.

Le voy a contestar en la misma reseña ya que es imposible poner otra . Lo haré educadamente , algo que usted creo que no sabe lo que es . En primer lugar somos 3 muchachas de 40 años , no somos niñitas como usted por su forma de escribir, lo hace despectivamente. En segundo lugar hemos entrado a las 22:55 en su restaurante preguntando si podíamos cenar ya que lo hemos visto con gente cenando y la respuesta de una camarera ha sido a gritos QUITAROS DEL MEDIO., ni buenas noches ahora os atiendo o ya la cocina está cerrada no se cogen más mesas..NADA , no nos han informado de nada, Nos hemos quitado del medio como bien nos ha pedido vulgarmente su Empleada, Seguidamente ha salido un chico joven de la cocina en el que nos ha dicho que nos volvamos a quitar de en medio al que yo le he contestado que nos hemos puesto ahí, porque su compañera nos había dicho de ponernos ahí, Seguidamente, este chico me ha contestado …tienes que hablar con el señor que lleva las mesas, Y ha parecido usted pegando voces “aquí ya no cena nadie más estamos cerrados” . Tercero, Me parece perfecto, que usted como restaurante tenga un horario y lo cumpla , Pero es que el cliente no es adivino, si usted con educación nos dice hola buenas noches ya estamos cerrados no atendemos a nadie más ,nos vamos por donde hemos venido y ya está no hace falta faltar el respeto a nadie ni gritar a nadie delante de nadie ,Igualmente, aunque hubiésemos sido unas niñitas, existe la educación ,y el respeto(cosa que veo que ustedes no tiene) para todo el mundo tenga la edad que tenga puesto que va a su negocio a consumir ,igualmente, el comentario no nos ha sentado mal puesto que nos halaga ya que por lo menos nos ha hecho sentir más “joven “ se ve que nos conservamos muy bien,. por supuesto, no nos ha hecho falta ir al McDonald’s 24 horas, ya que justamente al lado el chiringuito restaurante Cerdán aun cerrando su cocina nos ha invitado a pasar y atendernos amablemente, lo recomiendo 100 × 100 la comida buenísima y el personal súper educado y amable, Quizás debería echar un ojo para aprender usted para su negocio!!! Y cuarto y último creo sinceramente que no le gusta su trabajo y está muy amargado ,que por supuesto necesita unas vacaciones para tener conciliación con su familia, ya que lo veo muy alterado, Igualmente, este tiempo que usted coja de vacaciones no va hacer que de repente tenga educación y que trata a la gente con respeto pero por lo menos vendrá a trabajar más tranquilo y tratará mejor a sus clientes.
