Bar La Playa — Restaurant in Torrevieja

As we strolled along the beach from #pleamar30holidayrental we decided to stop for a snack at Bar La Playa.

We’ve been before and had a menu del dia which was excellent then.

Today we fancied a light snack, a tapas of sorts.

We shared the most delicious tuna salad that was huge!!! As well as being fresh and tasty too.

We had toasted baguette slices with crushed tomatoes 🍅- totally yum!!

Then the chips 🍟- these were to die for!!! Fresh, tasty and soooo delicious that I can truly say I’ve never tasted such good homemade chips in any restaurant before!!

And, we had fried Brie with marmalade (jam) that was oozing with flavour!!

The sangria was fab too!! Almost every table had a sangria or two or three!! Clearly a good choice of drink at Bar La Playa and a superb choice as an accompaniment to your meal on a beautifully sunny day on the Costa Blanca!!

The restaurant offers a stunning ocean view that captivates guests. We were thoroughly impressed by the warm and attentive nature of the staff, which added to our overall satisfaction. In terms of our dining experience, everything was delightful except for the paella. Although we had high expectations for its perfection, it turned out to be overly cloying this time. A good place for breakfast, lunch or just a bite to eat during the day. In the evening the place works more as a bar.

Had a good gazpatcho here, but unexpectedly jamon happened in it. But if you tell them right away that you don't want jamon, then you get a vegetarian version.
