I have never written a comment about a restaurant before but I need to do it now. Normally I vote with my feet. Just leaving never to come back.
Educated in the restaurant trade I am embarrassed by the experience yesterday.
We have been lucky and fortunate to travel a lot and experienced a variety of different places from 3 star restaurants to fantastic small street stands and beach bars.
The best I can say about this place is that it is beautifully situated and that they are extremely uneven and inconsistent. It is absolutely paramount in a restaurant to deliver to each and every guest.
As the creator of El Bulli, Mr Adrià said. Making 1 very good dish is not too hard for professionals BUT to make 8000 experiences great for each of 8000 guests, that is really difficult.
The team yesterday showed exactly that.
This is not El bulli, Noma, Geranium or Le Gavroche but It should be a good local restaurant. That is the expectation. Yesterday they failed miserably.
We had a very good lunch here a couple of weeks ago so we decided to bring friends to the restaurant yesterday.
As nice as the lunch was this dinner was a total disaster.
The service was all but welcoming and the food was not well prepared nor well cooked. The duck our friends had was not even properly cooked. The taste is different and it is so easy to ask how the guest prefers it, but no. The fish we had was cold and tasted very flat. Keeping it simple and honest is much better.
I am not even going to comment on the starters. At least one of the starters do not belong in a professional restaurant.
Summary. Engagement that focuses on giving each guest a good meal and a good experience would, in my view, be something this restaurant would benefit significantly from.
Consequence and learning
Customer satisfaction = customer expectation minus customer experience. The worst is we took our guests here based on experience. Yesterday was, From hero to zero in one dinner.
To get a new customer in any business takes work, time and money. To lose one takes 30 seconds.
These guys managed to lose 4 customers yesterday.

This is the difference of opinion.
You run the restaurant. Your interest is to see that you deliver the experience including food and drink.
If you fail to engage with the customer to see that you deliver the total product you want to deliver then it shows that you are not interested in the product (experience) you deliver. This is the customer satisfaction you get.
Last time it was very good, this time it was not. Maybe it is due to the difference of staff in the restaurant and kitchen.

But after 15mn they find a table for us( just because they realised we going to be there at 10pm) But at 10pm the same tables when we arrived still empty. The food was very good but the waiter didn't want work after 10pm I believe. It's shame because the place is nice the food is very good but like most of the place in Torrevieja the service is very bad. Unfortunately the owner of this place must lost a lot money if the waiter don't want work. What a shame to have a such beautiful restaurant who is the waiter tell you if you can eat and spend 100€ or not is time for the owner to take care of...
Read moreWe actually wanted to go to La Boca, but I then remembered our last experience was not good. So … we decided to try something new. On the map it looked lovely. The reviews were ok. We didn’t have a reservation. As usual we were early. So got to chose from 3 different tables. We chose on closest to the sea.
The Tuna was a little too salty for my taste. The Duck could have been served ‚warmer‘.
The only true criticism I have .. I find 2 tiny slices if Tuna (not much larger than what you get on Sushi 🍣) = € 24 is far toooo pricy. See pic. In my opinion this portion should be priced at €15 and is more of a starter. Or maybe the kitchen just ran out of Tuna 🍣
