The Sands Bistro — Restaurant in Torrevieja

Yesterday we had the most wonderful and terrific service at Dave & Karen and their Sands Bistro, where we were received in the best way. As we had not booked a table in advance, we could not get one before 9.15pm, which also didn't matter, since we had their small, but incredibly cozy, restaurant all to ourselves, as Dave said. After that we got the best service from him and the absolute best dining experience in Torrivieja from his wife Karen. Thank you both for an unforgettable dinner and evening and your hospitality. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, then you must visit Sands Bistro, because they have the most exquisite dishes, both starters, main courses and desserts. And then they also serve regular food, so that everyone can eat there - and even at a really good price.

From the first fork full to the last, this was excellent food. This small bistro restaurant situated in the heart of Torrevieja specialises in English style cuisine. We visited on a Sunday, so the menu was a typical Sunday roast selection with a vegetarian option. The roast beef was exceptional, beautifully cooked, served with vegetables and roast potatoes, and, of course, a yorkshire pudding. My wife had the vegetarian option, which was a tasty vegetable loaf served with vegetarian gravy. A 3 course meal for €16 was excellent value. This bistro specialises in vegetarian dishes as well as mainstream options. It would be advisable to book. The only criticism was a half-hour wait between the main course and dessert. Can you keep a secret? Good !! Let me tell you, OK everybody . This is without doubt, the best English styled bistro on the Costa Blanca. I highly recommend all the essentials exist in abundance, in this small but intimate setting which is very efficiently run by David and Karen. As a double act they are a formidable duo from kitchen to front of the house . The menu well let's say there is something there for everyone . You cannot fail to be impressed by Karen's choice of menu. If your not a dessert person, you will become one!! David is your ever welcoming host. Always helpful, always ever so polite with a gentle humerous tone. If you wish to eat well, enjoy your meal a nd at great value I must highly recommend this...
