Nawab Indian Cuisine Panshi — Restaurant in Tres Cantos

Love Indian food wherever I go. Most cities in Spain have one, visited lots! Visiting tres cantos, looked on map, found Nawab. Sit down evening Dinner with partner. 9pm, 1 table sitting. Place was so bright, lighting extreme. Tables nice.

Ordered starter, 2 different curries, bread and rice.

In 5 minutes, starter came out. Smallest meat samosas I've seen! cut open, frozen solid in middle!!!!!

Sent back, then new arrived. Not promising.

Two curries came, after speaking with waiter about our different tastes, partner couldn't eat hers, fire hot. Both curries tasted the same, couldn't distinguish which was which!

Cheese Bread was bland and tasteless. And desert was defrosted quickly and mushy, nothing like it should be.

All dishes were served different ways, soup bowls, plates, tin dishes, chip baskets..... No continuity,.....

Staff offered a free Cafe as we were not happy. Not waiting staff to blame, they were apologetic and attentive, but this restaurant needs to sort its chef and kitchen out!

Maybe good at takeaway, but, very quiet restaurant May indicate food not that good or care not taken in presentation.

Also, possibly the most expensive menu I've seen! I know Tres Cantos may be an expensive town, but I've eaten a lot better in other cities, even central Madrid, Barca, Seville and Málaga, for almost a third off or half the price.

I will always accept and pay top prices for a good meal, but, not here.

Summary, Very dissapointed, I've written a lot of reviews for Asian food restaurants in Spain, unfortunately, may have caught this one on a bad day, but won't be back soon.

On our last night in Madrid, we decided to stop in and have dinner. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance. There were plenty of options on the menu and we found comfort in a few of our favorites: chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. The food came out quickly and the presentation was lovely.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had high expectations and they were met. We had food left over and were very content at the end of the meal. The staff was also extremely kind to us and very accommodating. I felt comfortable eating at this restaurant and felt the prices were affordable. We have eaten at Nawab perhaps half a dozen times and always find the ambiance very pleasant and the service very efficient, friendly and courteous. This time we went as two couples and all chose different dishes. To be honest we found the food not to be as good as on previous occasions. Generally being rather bland. I chose lamb rogan josh, which I often do, and found it a lot less hot than usual or than I would have expected.
