Very attractive restaurant with a simple but classy look. The food was good, served hot (which is a bit of a novelty in Valencia!!) and the rissoto was the highlight for me. It was busy as it was a Saturday lunchtime and the waiter had to be reminded to bring the bread, the second drinks and the olive oil! I think he was just a little forgetfull but he also never cleared the table of empty glssses and bottles which I plonked on the next table as we were running out of space!!..... Hopefully his service level will improve as everything else deserved the 5 stars. Notwithstanding that, Philip, the maitre d' is a competent host, very welcoming and we were happy enough to book for dinner in a couple of weeks with friends who are visiting Valencia and love Italian food. PS Prices are very fair for both the food and the drinks. All in all a very good offering from a new restaurant and worth a visit for sure. UPDATE:- Last night we went back with our friends and WOW the forgetful waiter was transformed... He was on top form and I am delighted to report he didn't forget a thing and every empty bottle and used glass dissapeared in a flash!!! Philipe the owner said he had read my review and had spoken with the waiter about the importance of customer service! The end result was a faultless service, delicious food and our friends were as impressed as we were with the quality/price ratio. I really believe the value for money at Augusta is exceptional. Coffes at 2€ and deserts at 6€ are unheard of when paired with top notch quality.... Go soon I would say as I suspect this restaurant is soon going to difficult to get a table at and will race up the Valencia ratings to the very top where it surely...

We really can't rave enough about Augusta. We stumbled upon it during a walk in our neighborhood, pretty shortly after it opened.

The food is absolutely top-notch. On our last visit, I had a puff pastry filled with cheese and dates (exquisite and from the entrée menu, though perhaps better as an appetizer), seared scallops (fantastic), and tiramisu. The wait staff is amazingly attendant and well-versed in the menu, and the owner (or manager) has stopped by on each of our five or six visits to say hello and chat. The décor is tasteful and slightly elegant without feeling stiff or formal . . . although Augusta is probably the best restaurant in all of Cabanyal, the seaside neighborhood of Valencia.

My husband had shrimp carpaccio, and not one but two orders of clochinas, the local shellfish which is just now in season. That isn't to say that the portions were in any way small, but rather the clochinas were the best he's ever had . . . and the season is short, you know!

We shared a bottle of wine and a glass of rosé each. The waiter can tell you all about the wines, and although we try to have something each time, there doesn't seem to be any real discrepancy in quality; it's all been very good to excellent.

Augusta is tucked away on a side street, so it may not be a place one would accidentally stumble across. But it's absolutely worth your time to make a reservation and head down. This is as close to a perfect restaurant as we've found...

Horrible experience and hospitality. We are vegan people and they barely had anything in the menu. They pressured us to order multiple things including drinks and then asked us to leave in a horrible manner. Not the kind of service expected. Worst experience ever....

Heres what happened: I called to ask for a table. The restaurant did told me there's something after 45mins. We as tourists knowing less about how it goes went in with the reservation. We were restaurant hopping to enjoy the vibe of valencia. At the end as we went in, not so gracefully we were shown bare options of things we eat (vegan). Then, we were pressurized to order immediately some drinks, and choose something from the menu. I really thinked twice but the kinda behavior was unexpected. Before we could think, i decided to leave. The restaurant owner wasnt even nice and he literally pulled a door with anger and asked us to leave. Ruining a date night for us. We are exploring spain and I think this aint the hospitality we expect We went on the other restaurant where we did SHARE a vegan pizza and it was their closing time, they still accomodated us and everyone there was so nice and they patiently waited till we finished our food. Honestly, theu need to improve on how to treat guests with hospitality instead of working on how to run business. This guy literally needs to work...

Having worked in food and wine PR, I have had the pleasure of dining at some of the finest establishments. However, my recent experience at Augusta Italian restaurant was truly sensational, setting a new benchmark for excellence. From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the chic and cool ambiance. The décor is a perfect blend of elegance and modernity, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The dishes at Augusta are nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish is a testament to the chef's mastery, with perfectly balanced flavors that showcase both subtle and bold elements. The attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients are evident in every bite. Whether you prefer understated elegance or robust flavors, Augusta delivers on all fronts. The wine selection is equally impressive, offering a diverse range that complements the menu beautifully. The staff's knowledge and recommendations enhanced the overall dining experience, ensuring that each glass was a perfect match for the dishes served. Service at Augusta is impeccable. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. Their professionalism and warmth added a personal touch that made the evening even more memorable. Augusta Italian restaurant is a culinary gem.

Not impressed, to be honest. Undercooked and chewy calamar (the spinach bed itwas served on was cooked to perfection, though), with little natural flavour and no seasoning (see pic). I ordered the octopus as a main course and got 6 (!) slices of a tentacle (see pic), which were hard, bedded on some sort of root puree that was bland, again. My companion's spaghetti aglio e olio were flavorless, too (no garlic flavour at all), no parsley nor anything for presentation and visual contrast with the white plate. The tiramisú was ok, but lacked the beautiful broad flavour spectrum espresso, amaretto (or any other alcohol) and mascarpone allow for. It was also too sweet and liquid in consistency to spoon it out of its deep container easily. Served in an uninspired jam jar, too. The cortado I ordered with the desert was cold. Service was friendly, but slow multiple times (the place was full, in all fairness). The restaurant is nicely designed, decorated and laid out. Even when full, it did not get too loud. Paper towels or any other hand-drying possibility was missing in the ladies' room.

Wow, this place is a true hidden gem! We ate here for dinner last night and it was incredible. The setting is lovely and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming…our waiter was just the right amount of attentive and gave us some great recommendations. We had the thinly sliced beef and tuna to start and some incredible focaccia (very different to what we’ve had before and it was delicious), the swordfish pasta and cherry tomato and salted ricotta pasta for mains, and tiramisu for dessert. Every dish was fantastic and beautifully presented. The limoncello and cannoli was a lovely touch, thank you! Cannot rate this place highly enough…you must give it a visit whilst in Valencia!
