Casa Guillermo — Restaurant in Valencia

We were very disappointed to be served and charged for 2 (expensive ) dishes that we didn’t order. We requested bread after our food had been served and were brought a very small portion with some tiny mussels. We did not order the mussels so we had to assume that they came free with the bread. After we finished our meal the waitress said something we didn’t understand (admittedly our Spanish isn’t great) then brought out a small plate of something fried. Again we thought this was complimentary as we hadn’t asked for it so we ate it. Both the mussels (8.50) and the fried dish (16) were charged on the bill and when we queried this we were told we shouldn’t have accepted them if we didn’t want to pay. None of the 5 of us have ever been served dishes we didn’t order them been charged for them. We have often been provided with small extras as a complimentary extra. Also we were in a back room and asked for the air con to be put on as it was hot but this didn’t happen. We had thought none of the staff spoke English when we tried to query the extra items that we were brought but when we queries the bill they did speak to us in English. We left...

Mi primera ves en el restaurante , desafortunadamente la persona que estaba en la barra en contacto con la comida , estaba tosiendo y poniendo la mano en la boca por la tose , y con la misma mano tocando los platos, las copas y vasos que iban servir los clientes, tosiendo arriba de la comida que estaban en la barra sin el minino de higiene . Cuando comenté con la camarera que por favor su compañera podría poner una mascarilla , la mujer en la barra empezó hablar alto , tosiendo más alto de manera provocativa , si acerco de la mesa que estaba cerca de la barra y me pedio que me fuera de restaurante si no me sentía bien con su tos, burlando que estaba con COVID! Le respondí que pagaría la cuenta y me marcharía, pero que usar una mascarilla es necesario por higiene. No entiendo que no hay el mínimo de higiene en este establecimiento, donde el personal con tos tira su saliva sobre la comida, los vasos y las copas para los clientes sin el mínimo de respeto y total ignorancia . Creo que hay un mínimo de formación profesional para trabajar en un restaurante. No recomiendo 👎👎👎

Mein erster Besuch im Restaurant. Leider war die Person an der Theke, die mit dem Essen in Kontakt war, am Husten und hielt sich dabei die Hand vor den Mund. Mit derselben Hand berührte sie dann die Teller, Gläser und Becher, die den Gästen serviert wurden. Sie hustete direkt über das Essen an der Theke, ohne jegliche Hygienevorkehrungen einzuhalten. Als ich die Kellnerin darauf ansprach, ob ihre Kollegin bitte eine Maske tragen könnte, begann die Frau an der Theke laut zu sprechen, hustete absichtlich noch lauter und provozierend. Sie kam in die Nähe des Tisches, der sich in der Nähe der Theke befand, und forderte mich auf, das Restaurant zu verlassen, wenn ich mich mit ihrer Situation unwohl fühlte. Dabei machte sie sich über COVID lustig und ironisierte, dass sie selbst COVID hätte. Ich erklärte, dass ich die Rechnung begleichen und gehen würde, aber darauf hinweisen möchte, dass das Tragen einer Maske aus hygienischen Gründen notwendig sei. Ich verstehe nicht, wie es in diesem Restsurant keine Mindeststandards in Bezug auf Hygiene gibt, wo das Personal mit Husten Speichel über das Essen, die Gläser und die Becher der Gäste verteilt, ohne jeglichen Respekt und mit totaler Ignoranz. Ich denke, es sollte eine grundlegende professionelle Schulung für die Arbeit in einem Restaurant geben. Nicht empfehle 👎👎👎

My first visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the person at the counter, who was handling the food, was coughing and putting their hand over their mouth, then using the same hand to touch the plates, glasses, and cups meant for customers. They were coughing over the food on the counter without any regard for basic hygiene. When I mentioned to the waitress that her colleague should consider wearing a mask, the woman at the counter started speaking loudly and coughing even louder in a provocative way. She approached the table near the counter and told me to leave the restaurant if I didn’t feel comfortable with the situation. Mockingly, she insinuated that she herself had COVID. I replied that I would pay the bill and leave, but wearing a mask was necessary for hygiene. I cannot understand how this establishment has no basic hygiene standards, where staff with a cough spread saliva over the food, glasses, and cups for customers, with complete disregard and ignorance. I believe there should be a minimum level of professional training to work in...

So we went to the restaurant once and really liked the quality of food - me and my partner. On the next occasion we decided to invite our family and we were a party of 7. The spot we were given in the restaurant had no air con (although the other room was conditioned) and the waitress refused to move us either outside or to the other room. Then having ordered the group menu, the waitress was not bringing anything. After an hour, when everyone was really hot and hungry she realized that she misunderstood the order.
