BoBoBar — Restaurant in Valencia

I visited this place with my boyfriend and it was truly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had in Valencia. Tables were left uncleared for over 40 minutes, the food took ages to arrive, and to top it all off - the waiter had visibly dirty fingernails and there were flies buzzing around.

My boyfriend left an honest review with a video as proof. Instead of taking responsibility, they responded with shocking rudeness - changing their reply and calling us “rude,” “spoiled,” and even stupid.

I’ve never encountered such unprofessional behavior - not just in the service, but in how they handle well-founded customer feedback. If you’re looking to avoid a disgusting experience and being insulted for speaking up - stay far away from this place. Valencia is full of amazing tapas places - no need to waste your time here :)

P.S. I truly hope the health authorities step in and shut...

Update: bringing this down to a 4 star. I’ve come back twice after leaving my 5 star and the food just wasn’t as good. The bravas were undercooked, the Valencian dish with the tuna and tomatoes was acidic, and the service was really slow. Unfortunately after two bad experiences, I can no longer recommend due to the inconsistency.

I recommend a table inside if you come though because of all the smoking outside. It’s a tight space so the smoke really lingers.

Our waiter was very knowledgeable and even recommended a Valencia dish for us, which ended up being our favourite dish of the night.

All the seafood is so fresh. I really enjoyed the anchovies in the vinegar and Bobobar’s take on potatas bravas.

My wife, daughter and I had a phenomenal meal at BoboBar. Our host/server took the time to explain each dish, especially the local dishes, and what made each special. We took a lot of his recommendations and this was one of the best meals we had while in Valencia — bright, bold flavors, and everything was so fresh. The mussels were probably the highlight for us. They also brought us these watermelon gazpacho shots that were also very delicious.

Cocktails were also amazing and so refreshing after a day in the heat.
