Cafetería Paniacos — Restaurant in Valencia

The boss put a paper in my coffee I hadn't finished and took it away without asking while telling me I wasn't ordering enough even though I ordered that coffee 20min before and the place was empty. He wasn't there so he just made assomptions instead of asking.

He's an antipathic man with no sense of customer service, but the rest of the staff was always nice so I used to come from time to time when it was empty and I wanted to enjoy a coffee outside of the office. When he ruined my coffee I asked for my money back. He didn't want to pay me back for the coffee he took back from me so I kept arguing until he agreed to pay me back if I never come back. I think you must be really clueless to think a customer who wants a refund is thinking of coming back to get more paper in his coffee but that says a lot about the place.

The service is not the only issue to be honest. Cockroaches are frequent. The tables are rarely clean and in the summer so they have a lot of cockroaches dancing on the tables. I think a food inspection would have a fun time there because of that which is why i never ordered food and avoided the place in that season. It was close to my house and luminous enough despite the absence of wifi and all those issues so I used to go from time to time when I wanted to write quietly but I'll be happy to go elsewhere. There are much better coffeeshops in this area where they dont put paper in...

"Tú, y tu reseña, me da igual" - el dueño

Nunca he dejado una mala reseña a un negocio pero me sentí obligada. La experiencia me frustró mucho. Un amigo mío ha tenido una mala experiencia aquí recientemente pero quería ver el sitio por mi misma.

Vi la carta al entrar y eligí un gofre de chocolate (carta 3,50€). En el momento de pedir al camarero, pregunté si había agua con gas (la carta solo dice "agua" 1,50€). Me dijó que había y pregunté si costaba igual. Me dijó que sí. En el ticket, el agua costaba 2,10€ y el gofre €3,95. Pide una devolución de la diferencia al camarero y dijó que no "podía" - hablé con él después y me dijó otra vez que no es posible. Él y otro camarero dijeron que el dueño estará allí mañana y él puede devolver el dinero. Espero que si. Si este es el caso, borraré esta reseña.

EDIT: Con la recomendación de los camareros, Nesto y José, volví el día después. Un experiencia FATAL. Dejaría "menos estrellas" si pudiera. Fue la peor experiencia de servicio de cliente de mi vida. Una actitud irrespetuosa y bastante agresiva.

Nesto me dijó que el dueño es su padre. Desde el principio, sabía que el dueño fue maleducado. Rechazó devolver el dinero. Algunas preguntas muy tontas, por ejemplo "Pagaste lo que tomaste, sí o no?" y "Quieres solucionarlo? Hablamos fuera" y "Pues, el camarero le ha equivocado" y "El chocolate es el toping" (pero no recibí una bola de helado) y "Estás en mi casa, eh?"(en una manera agresiva). Mi respuesta fue "estoy gastando dinero en tu casa" Cuando entró el camarero del día antes, pensaba que todo estaría solucionado. Sin embargo, él denegó responsabilidad también.

Llevé 20 minutos esperando al principio. Al final decidí decir a él lo de mi reseña y de mi opción de borrarla. Con su cara bastante cerca de mi cara, me dijó "Tu, y tu reseña, me da igual" Decidí esperar más. Después de media hora levantada en la entrada/mostrador, él decidió darme el dinero - en monedas de un céntimo y dos céntimo. Literalmente - no hay mentiras aquí. Pregunté por una moneda de un euro. Me respondió que sí, que tenía, pero para él. No para mi. Literalmente sus palabras. Tuve que contar - creo que a él le gusta la vista de eso. Al final, le dijé "falta algo" Con una cara sorprendida, dijé "el respecto". Salí y me dijó, con sarcasmo en su voz, "que te vaya bien". No podía creer que es dueño de un negocio y que trata a sus clientes así. Nunca, nunca,...

🇬🇧 The coffee was solid, one of those you can really enjoy and doesn't stay at the "at least you get a caffeine boost" category. It really goes well with the cheesecake. Also, the menu seems to be available in English as well, but I haven't tried ordering in said language.
