Not sure where to start having seen some of the reviews. Place is easy to find but in a quiet part of town which is nice. The ‘bully’ security guard I have seen people mention. The guy who was there the two times we went was like a cuddly teddy bear and he and his colleagues were so nice to everyone. Changing facilities were, in my opinion, a lot cleaner than a lot of swimming pools and areas like this in the UK. Yes they were communal, but so are a huge amount of places in many countries. Suprisingly empty in the chaning rooms as most people come dressed ready for the pool anyway.
The pools were split, we spent our time in the toddler one, my only genuine critique is that some of the kids were way too old to be in there, but I don’t know their situation to judge too harshly. Our 2 year old LOVED it and requested to go back. Pool was fairly clean, you’ll always get a few bugs that land in the water and you see, no big deal. Lots of whistling from the lifeguards by the fast slide, mostly becuase people are standing the way and need to be warned, or to slow the children so nobody gets hurt. We all know a Karen who will be moaning if her child gets hurt, but also moaning about the warning whistle.
The not taking photos thing I see a bit and the excuse of ‘I’d understand if it were a single man’ actually, a huge percentage of those types of people they are teying to protect your children from, have partners and children of their own, so I get why they do it and they can’t be sure of who someone is taking the photos of without going through everyones photo album. Also, as importantly, put your phone down, enjoy some moments with your kids without a lens in their face, making them pose. People haven’t always had cameras, but still had memories….think about that sometimes.
At just over 3 euros an adult, you cannot expect Disneyland, but it is definitely worth a visit or two if you are in Valencia for a week or so. Also a really nice park just outside for the little ones if they aren’t...
Read moreTheir policies are totally flawed. We have been to many water parks all over the world and only in this one did we have a bad experience. You cannot enter this place unless you have swimming trunks or a swimsuit and this applies to parents who do not intend to use the pools - this is ridiculous. I had no intention of entering into the pools - but I still had to hunt for a nearby place to buy swimming trunks- this took time - which was in effect a waste of time as all I intended to do was take pictures of my child/ family having fun in the water. This brings me to another issue.....if you are caught taking pictures in this place of your family in the pool - you run the risk of bully security personnel escorting you to their admin area and demanding that they check the footage....this happened to us and obviously they were checking that we were not taking close-up pictures of other people in the pool. Some lone men might do this - so I understand this scenario, but people with their families are unlikely to engage in such practice. There were too many unnecessary rules and regulations at this place which made the whole visit a bad experience. The lifeguard with the whistle was working in over-clocking mode telling people to refrain from doing what is considered normal in other water parks!
If they don't like cameras , then it should be depicted on their rules and regulations board as you enter and posted within the grounds as well. The only good thing about this place was the low entry price....hence one star....if I had paid a normal water park rate - I would have demanded my money back as we decided to leave after being bullied and humiliated .
Beware the bad boys of the Water Park...
Read moreNice swimming pool with lots of greenery, palmtrees, … around so lots of shade to find. However, the pool itself is full of hair, all announcements are made in incomprehensible Spanish and the guards are aggressive and unfriendly towards tourists. We rented a locker and knew the pool was closing at 18:30, so at 18:12, we went to the locker/changing rooms to quickly change back to our clothes to get on the bus back. We were not allowed in together, only my husband who carried the key of the locker could go in but was not allowed to change. We were shouted at in fast Spanish. My husband came back with mine and his clothes, we tried to explain we just wanted to change inside in 2 minutes, but the guards made no effort to understand (even though other people who spoke Spanish were let through and were still showering inside). After some discussion, they even made a fuzz about my husband trying to retrieve his ID in exchange for the locker key and he was smacked (!!) in the head by one of the guards. Then suddenly, they seemed to have retrieved their knowledge of English and yelled at us “don’t come back”. Be sure, we will never come back and we seriously discourage any other tourist or expat to go to this swimming pool. We filed an official...
