El Cóndor Pasa — Restaurant in Valencia

El Condor Pasa is a wonderful and authentic small restaurant that really makes you feel at home or like as if you were at a friend’s place. With great quiet classic salsa music in the background the atmosphere was one that is hard to replicate. The food was great too!

I went there while on holiday the day after I got my backpack with most of my money, bank cards and even my ID card stolen at Malvarosa beach and then again on the following day. One of the staff members, an older gentleman, tried to start a friendly conversation with me, and though we were struggling to understand each other because I spoke no Spanish and he spoke no English, I managed to tell him about my incident, at times even using just gestures to break the language barrier. He immediately showed genuine care enthusiastically and offered his help, even though I was just a stranger. Upon me leaving him and the other staff member insisted that my whole bill of around 20 euro be on the house. I had never experienced such moving kindness from strangers and I was already in love with the place before that! I know that I will definitely be returning there one day and will return this kindness twofold.

Restaurante cerca de la plaza de España de valencia. Muy céntrico, y muy cerca de la estación de trenes de Valencia. No tienes terraza, sólo tiene mesas dentro, pero los platos que pedimos estaban bastante buenos. Tardaron en servirnos, pero porque se hacia al momento todo, y eso da una cierta tranquilidad. La atención por parte del camarero muy buena, y el precio nos salió mas o menos 13€ por persona, con un plato y bebida, no pedimos postre. Nos regalaron postre que está en la foto, todo un detalle por parte de ellos. Volveremos sin dudarlo para probar todos los platos posibles.
