Harlow's Bar – 1920s Cocktails — Restaurant in Valencia

I had looked at reviews before coming here and saw the menu, so I thought I looked promising. Pisco sour was the first drink but a little sour and more margarita in taste.

The food was questionable. Had this dip, which was meant to be mushroom a bit, tasted like olive tapenade.

There were also nails sticking out of the table, which I ripped my jeans on.

Next, I ordered a glass of Crianza (€6 glass) but then told to 'try' a different wine as much nicer, so I went with that. On getting the bill soon, I discovered why I was recommended the nicer one €14 a glass!! A complete lack of communication on price, and the guy saw us coming! While bill was then €57!

This bar is also trying to be something that it is not: selling cookies in a brown cardboard box does not have any link with a cocktail bar...

I’ve been there so many times and it gets better and better. The staff is attentive, friendly, and very approachable. The atmosphere is unconventional, like being in a 1920s bar, with its vintage jazz and art deco style (they even have a velvet Charleston sofa!). As the waitress informed me, even the cocktails are from the Prohibition era. It's perfect for enjoying sophisticated drinks, and impressing on a first date. My recommendation: The Alamo, which has a smoky flavor from mezcal, something I haven't seen elsewhere! Additionally, every night there's always someone to talk to, even when you go alone. People with good taste tend to get along...

We came here for cocktails one night and it was everything that the other review said it is. A truly wonderful bar with a very friendly and helpful barman who makes stunning cocktails. I had one of the best Tom Collins I’ve ever had in my life and my wife really enjoyed herHemingway.. very atmospheric and beautifully decorated.
