Majestic Gateway to the Past - Quart Towers (Portal de Quart) Rating: 4/5 The Quart Towers (Portal de Quart) in Valencia, Spain, is a magnificent medieval gateway that stands as a testament to the city's rich history and architectural heritage. This impressive 15th-century structure is a must-visit destination for anyone fascinated by history, architecture, and culture. As I approached the towers, I was struck by their sheer scale and grandeur, with imposing stone walls and majestic Gothic arches. The intricate stone carvings, ornate details, and stunning architecture transported me back in time, offering a glimpse into Valencia's medieval past. Highlights include: - Impressive medieval architecture - Majestic Gothic arches and stone carvings - Rich history and cultural significance - Stunning views of the city from the top - Convenient location in the heart of Valencia Pros: - Impressive architecture and history - Convenient location - Stunning views from the top - Rich cultural significance - A must-visit for history and architecture enthusiasts Cons: None Tips for visitors: - Take the stairs to the top for breathtaking views - Explore the surrounding historic neighborhood - Learn about the towers' history and significance - Visit at sunset for a romantic atmosphere - Combine with a visit to the nearby Central Market for a complete experience

This is both a fascinating peak into history and a great place to view the Valencia skyline. This tower is one of two in the city and they are the last parts of the old city wall still standing. If you look at the outside walls, you can still see the pockmarks from cannon balls and musket balls! This is not the place for anyone with mobility problems because there are so many steep steps and to reach the roof there is a very tight spiral staircase. However, if you are reasonably fit, the effort is definitely worth it. It is very cheap to enter, 2 Euros for adults. So it makes for a very interesting and inexpensive addition to your visit to the old town of Valencia.

Torres de Quart. Is truly a historical site. When you arrive it is easy to find the office. After you purchase the ticket for two euro you can leave the office and go to the right when at the bottom of the stairs. The first flight of stairs will take you up to rooftop levels on most close buildings. This is only the start. A second flight of stairs brings you to an upper level with a great view. If you look to your right entering the second level you will see a stair case that becomes two. The door to the right was open. It has a very tight staircase and when you reach the top of the stairs you are at the top of the towers. You can see much of Valencia from the top of the tower. The only thing that is missing is a simple place to sit. I take it they do not want to offer this since people will linger in the tower longer. Bring a good camera and take some great...
