This is both a fascinating peak into history and a great place to view the Valencia skyline. This tower is one of two in the city and they are the last parts of the old city wall still standing. If you look at the outside walls, you can still see the pockmarks from cannon balls and musket balls! This is not the place for anyone with mobility problems because there are so many steep steps and to reach the roof there is a very tight spiral staircase. However, if you are reasonably fit, the effort is definitely worth it. It is very cheap to enter, 2 Euros for adults. So it makes for a very interesting and inexpensive addition to your visit to the old town of Valencia.

One of the two sets of medieval towers remaining from the wall that once surrounded the historic center of Valencia. It's a nice surprise to turn a corner and see the huge stone turrets that overlook narrow streets of the old town. Entrance is free. Walk to the top where you have some very nice views and picture taking opportunities over the historic district. I counted about 175 steps total to the top. Just at the bottom of the steps is a great place for organic coffee, and wonderful treats from carrot cake to tamales.

Wake up early if u don’t want to wait in line to get inside the churches, like super early… Beautiful place to walk around and shop and eat and learn about the history of the place , many things are available it’s just like any other historical active area. Many shops restaurants and hotels are there too, it’s a must visit if you are in Valencia of course. Wear comfortable shoes if you won’t be using any bikes , it’s highly recommended that u rent a standing scooter to discover it all in its tight alleyways too .

Well maintained piece of history of Valencia, and is definitely one of the towers to visit for a different perspective view of Valencia. There are a quite a bit of steps to the top; so bear that in mind, though it is worth it. There is no ticket require; the entrance is free. Though bear in mind there is an open and closing time. We went there during the morning and there were a handful of people visiting. So I would recommend going during that time.

Description
The Torres de Quart or Puerta de Quart is one of the two remaining gates of the old Valencia city wall. It was built between 1441 and 1493. It was still in use during the Peninsular War when it was marked by cannonballs and musket shots.
