Piko´s Bar — Restaurant in Valencia

We were about to enter another bar about a hundred metres away from this bar, sat down and asked for a glass of white wine, the waitress told us about 15 different choices and all we wanted was house wine, we left, walked 50 metres down the road and found this place . Basic, nothing special, but the attention to detail was over the top descreet, 6 waiters- waitresses , you never had to call any of them, they were so attentive it was as if they knew what you wanted before you did. The tapas was amounst the best I have experience in Valencia. I could not recommend this place enough. We visited Piko's Bar twice this summer. The service could have been better but the tapas are a very good price and the food is excellent, one of the best in the city. My husband wanted puntillas and they were so good that he ordered more. The situation right near the Cuart towers and Botanic gardens is ideal. I would like to give 5 stars overall but the indifference of the waiter the first time and ignoring us when we went inside on arrival it has to be 4 .We had booked for the second visit but no tables were prepared for us with a cloth which we had seen the first time. The service was good and the tapas were tasty. We ordered calamares a la plancha (grilled squid), pimientos de padron (fried peppers), patatas bravas, albondigas caseras (meatball in tomato sauce) and choricitos (mini sausages). Everything was good, but the squid had sand and needed to be cleaned better. Also, the English and the Spanish menu slightly differ (eg. a glass of wine is 2 euros instead of 1.90, or a tapa is 4,50 instead of 4). For our order the difference was 1 Euro, so we didn't bother...
