Hundred — Restaurant in Valencia

A lovely little spot, we were there for 1300 when it opened for their lunch service, this is a small restaurant with seating for 37 inside and then additional seating outside. We hadn’t been able to book but although there was already a queue we managed to get a seat. Menu is via a QR code and then service is via the table. Works well, other than there is no U.K. menu via mobile app, which is odd given they are a world class burger outfit … BBQ chicken nuggets were stunning, burgers were ok, certainly no better than most good U.K. pubs. Meet was full of flavour, but, dry, and at best luke warm, we had an issue with the cooking of a burger which was dealt with promptly after I approached the staff, but it did take 25 plus minutes for a replacement to arrive. I found it odd, at no point did anyone staff member check with customers food was ok. Maybe it’s the Spanish way. No offer of sauces, nothing on the table, including salt and pepper. Just odd. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but the set up and service seemed more geared to take away orders which were flooding out of the door than those in the restaurant. Based on our experience it’s hard to see how they were awarded best burger in the world, if this is it then the world is in a bad place! Trust me. On paying the bill without asking they heavily discount led it which was nice. Toilets had no soap, and struggle to lock the door, and were in a mess, but they had only been open an hour…. This could be so much more with attention to detail and elevation of their product and service. Work on the little things. Probably the most well-known burger chain in Valencia. First off, I have to compliment their website, it's clear, beautifully designed, and a pleasure to navigate. However, it does make choosing a burger much harder with so many drool-worthy looking options!

After enjoying the 'Paul Finch' several times at the Mercabanyal restaurant, I was hoping it would still be available during my visit here. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. I’m not sure why it’s limited to just 10 a day, but while this exclusivity makes it even more special when you can get one, it’s definitely disappointing when you can’t.

After asking about it, we had to change our burger plans and opted for five burgers all were good, except for the 'Carlton Banks.' Chicken burgers are not definitely their forte.

One of the burgers was still running around :-) I’m okay with medium-rare, but when we ask for medium and receive a patty that’s 95% raw, it’s not really edible. *We mentioned the raw burger to the staff, and they reacted appropriately by serving us a round of drinks on the house. It wasn’t something we asked for, but it shows they care about their customers and their experience.

We booked a reservation today (Aug 3) and accidentally showed up to this location. The restaurant was not even half way full and the hostess was extremely unpleasant when we begged her to try and accommodate us after walking in the heat from our hotel. They told us we could only sit outside but the outside seating area is covered in bird poop and smells like sewage. It was obvious that there were open tables, they were getting some sort of pleasure in saying no to us. Really rude and no reason for it as we were only politely asking to change because we got confused on locations. We ate these burgers last night as takeaway and wanted to experience them in the actual location today but had to order takeaway again because I'm not eating surrounded by poop. Recommend you have a conversation with your front of house staff to not treat your repeat customers rudely just for the joy of it.
