Liaopastel — Restaurant in Valencia

Liaopastel is totally overrated. I payed 20 Euro for what you see on the pic (the mango+passion fruit smoothie is missing on the pic. It was horribly sweet - they put sugar in it). Their food looks nice, but it is not delicious. Their breads and pizzas are dry and have no taste. Everything comes with porc / ham, chicken or thuna; nearly no vegetarian food. The cakes and sweeties are over sweeted and dry, not juicy at all. Bad taste, sticking in your mouth. The stuff is unfriendly and you have to wait long in the queue (There have only been 2 persons working there for making everything: juices, coffee, heating food, cashier etc. So, it's a problem of the management). The tables are not clean, sticky from cakes / food. This is my 5th visit in 3 years. It changed a lot. It seems the nice + friendly personell (especially the lady with the pony tail) from the last years have chosen to work at a better place. Wifi is very good, coffee is OK, too. There is a Lidl just across the street. Buy your food there, consume it outside, and come here for the coffee! All in all not...

The sweet dessert we had was ok and coffee was fine. The female staff did not speak English but seemed sweet and friendly to customer. The male staff who was cleaning up the cafe on the other hand seemed inpatient when asked questions about the dessert. He barked at me "you need to pay 3.5 euro!" as his regular customer (a father and two kids) rushed in and immediately standing behind me waiting to pay for their food. But I was holding a bag of grocery and trying to take money out of my wallet. I paid and he greeted and chitchatted with his regular customer and his two kids. Apparently his actions made me feel like unwelcomed.

Part of the dining area was ok but the sofa area was filthy (see pictures below). Sir, if you are unhappy about new customers or serving a minority customer, please post a sign and say so. That way maybe only your regular customers will show up. Not a good impression of my first snack time...

Ayer fuie a merendar con mi novio entre las 18.00 y las 18.30 a Liaopastel (av. Del puerto). Cuando fui a pedir la chica que está en el mostrador principal en la zona de bollería se rio de mí y al preguntarle por los cafés se siguió riendo. Al no decirme los cafés que tenían tuve que ir hasta donde tienen el cartel para verlo ya que no veo bien y no conseguía verlo. Pues bien, pedimos para merendar y ella fue a limpiarle la mesa a unas señoras y a nosotros no nos la limpió. Al ser autoservicio no critico que tuviéramos que llevar nosotros nuestra bandeja, pero es que también tuvimos que limpiar la mesa de los anteriores clientes y es que eso si que me parece deplorable y más aún cuando era la trabajadora que se había reído en mi cara ni siquiera nos limpia la mesa. Ahí no acabó todo. Le dí un bocado a la napolitana de chocolate que había pedido y estaba muy seca y además sabía fatal. Fui a hablar con la trabajadora que está en la zona de cafés y me dijo que fuera a hablar con su otra compañera (o sea, la que se había estado riendo de mí). Me dijo que al estar mordida no me la podía cambiar por otra cosa, que si quería otra cosa que la pagara. En ningún momento se me devolvió el dinero. Resumen: fui para que se rieran de mí, me hicieran limpiar los restos de otros clientes, no pudiera merendar porque era incomible lo que me sirvieron, recibí un trato horrible por parte de la trabajadora y encima no me devolvieron el dinero. Claro está que no voy a volver más a el lugar y no se lo voy a recomendar a nadie porque es el peor sitio de toda Valencia que he pisado. Y hago la queja pública ya que no le puse una...
