We stopped at El Bart by chance, after being turned away in two other restaurants that were full. We sat and waited for fifty minutes (without an explanation, an apology or even an olive to keep us entertained) until we got just the first of two appetizers. The second one came about ten minutes later. They both were simple tacos, the size of a sand-dollar, which were actually pretty good, despite the ones with red gamba still having the tails and heads on them, which defeated the purpose of eating it like a taco. We then asked about our main dishes, but the waiter couldn't tell us with any precision when they would be coming. We decided to leave, so we asked for the check to pay for what we had eaten so far, and, Murphy's Law, one (not both) of the entrees arrived. It consisted of a very salty, undercooked piece of cod (the skin wouldn't come off the flesh), sided with a mash of some vegetable we couldn't even distinguish. Inedible. Since the other dish hadn't arrived yet (steak tartare...), we asked for the check and decided to leave. Immediately, the owner-chef came to the table (in doing so, pausing his cooking, my apologies to other hungry guests), not to offer an apology, but to show us attitude (I wouldn't be surprised he replies to this comment in the same tone), saying the waiting time was normal as everything was made on the spot, and behaving like an offended artiste when I suggested he might have been overwhelmed that day. He declined to charge us anything, and told us we had no idea how long a steak tartare takes to make. Funnily enough, as we exited, we saw he had to stop chopping the raw beef to come talk to us, the meat and knife still placed on the chopping board -showing he had just started working on it. All other tables around us were either waiting, or getting their order in parts. Cherry on the cake: the wine serving was the smallest I can remember in any Spanish restaurant. We ended up eating terrifically in a different restaurant, please see my...

Ejem ejem..
Anem molt sovint a sopar a Vic i no recomanem aquest local. Hi han molt millors opcions qualitat preu.
Vam sortir pagant uns 35 euros per persona sense...
Read moreThe food wasn't as expected. My hamburger was raw and in the time we where there we saw 2 other hamburgers also being brought back to the kitchen. Never got apologies for it. Got it back still not cooked enough to eat it properly. Maybe it was too busy but in my opinion that can never be a reason to serve bad dishes. The staff was...
