The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Upon entering, the waiter serves us some free olives. (that's so normal in Spain, even if you just order a drink)
We entered and ordered a paella to share, between two. And that's it.
The owner of the place goes to the man and scolds him for giving us the olives (in spanish, but since my boyfriend speaks it we could understood it) "How did you put olives? They only ordered one paella for two, you have to put them after they order. We only have 4 tables on top and this one it's only occupied by one paella"
My boyfriend confronted the owner and he tell her that we heard her. She tells us that she is very sorry and that he will give us a shot. (which we obviously rejected, because the only thing we wanted to do was leave and we should have done it because it was so uncomfortable...). Then the owner began to tell us about her life, apologizing for what she had done, girl, we don't care, you've messed up our food with your comments. We should have left without taking the paella, we regret having stayed.
Then 6 more people came to the restaurant and after what they had done (I don't know how they didn't hang its head in shame) they made us CHANGE TABLES.
Good paella, not much quantity. €16.50 per portion, so expensive to be Spain. In the surroundings there are paellas for a better price, greater quantity and similar quality and, of course, better customer service.
It seems that now you can't go to a restaurant to try the "star dish". You have to buy starters, main, drink and dessert. Shameful.
Nothing like this had ever happened to me. They will be used to criticizing the foreigners at 4 winds without them...
Read moreWe called in for a drink in the morning, noticed the chicken cooking on the grill which looked good, so we booked a table for the evening hoping for the chicken . We were greeted by the owner who spent time explaining the various dishes on the menu, she recommended the home cooked croquettes, and the Iberian pork, as my wife was looking forward to the chicken, which apparently was not on the menu so she was offered an alternative to chicken the dish had rice and looked like (moussakka) we ordered mussels to start and sangria for drink, The Sangria was delicious, and the mussels were alright. Upon receiving the moussakka dish, it was cold and was served with rice, when we got the croquettes they were burnt over cooked and very salty. The host apologised for this and said other people were happy with the food they were served. The host tried to get us to try the croquettes again and the moussakka went back to the kitchen to be reheated. I refused to have reheated food that was not cooked in the first place to the correct temperature. So we paid for the mussels and Sangria and then left. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody unless you have poor...
