El Raconet — Restaurant in Xàbia / Jávea

We hadn’t booked anywhere this evening and after trying a few places this was the only one that had space.

We had Tequenos which were ok but were served with guacamole that was overwhelmed by the taste of onion.

Patatas bravas were unlike any i have had before , more like potatoes in a sweet baked bean style tomato coating and served with aioli, unfortunately the Aioli tasted like it was made with old garlic , and did not taste nice and left a bad aftertaste.

We also had padron peppers , these had been deep fried and were over cooked , soggy and just tasted of oil and for some reason were served with nacho chips.

We really didn’t enjoy the food but this place does have other good reviews so perhaps we just had a really bad experience.

On the plus side the beer was good although they only serve bottles not draught , and you can’t really go wrong with bottled beer.

The location is nice but staff were not particularly friendly and we wouldn’t rush back

6 euro for a hamburger menu with letuce abd bbq sauce letuce tomato and freshly made bread. (Made at the restaurant). Extremely worth it to spend one morning dining at this restaurant. Cheap food with spectecular quality. Tottally made our day.

I see alot of people complaining. The food very high quality for extremely affordable pricing. The restaurant simply doesnt miss

Carta de comida muy variada con tapas, sandwich, bocadillos, etc. El personal bien, normal y correctos.

Nos pidieron la bebida y nos advirtieron que la comida tardaría 30 minutos, que al final fueron 50 minutos de espera, siendo la segunda quincena de septiembre y la terraza e interior con bastante gente pero no todo lleno como imagino que se ponga en pleno verano.

Se nota que tienen falta de personal por todo lo que hay que esperar y por como tenían una zona de la barra junto a los baños, llenisima de platos y vasos que no entraba ni un tenedor más.

Me llamó la atención que pedimos dos Coca- Colas zero y nos las pusieron de lata (330ml) cuando la mayoría de mesas, por no decir casi todas) las tenían de cristal (350ml). Otro detalle que no me gustó es que cuando pedías la bebida, a unas mesas les ponían un platito de patatas fritas para acompañar y a otros no (a nosotros no...)

Sobre la comida es como si fueses a un VIPS o un Pans & Company, nada del otro mundo y todo acompañado con patatas fritas congeladas... No está mal si quieres comer algo y quitar el hambre pero sinceramente no merece la pena el tiempo que vas a estar esperando para la comida que vas a comer y hay muchas mas opciones por la zona.

Nosotros tuvimos la mala suerte de caer en ese sitio y ya comimos pero ni lo recomendaría...
