There’s no printed menu here. Instead, Miguel arrives at your table with his blackboard, enthusiastically explaining the evening’s offerings. His multilingual charm puts everyone at ease, making you feel like a guest in his home. The dishes change daily, depending on the freshest local ingredients sourced from the market. Expect an array of delicious starters, mains, and desserts, all crafted with authenticity and care. The wine list is equally impressive and reasonably priced.

The menu rotates almost daily because everything is prepared fresh using ingredients sourced from all over Europe. Do not be wary of dishes you've never had before as everything they make is exceptional. La Cajita Azul reminds us to venture out of our comfort zone and embrace new things. You will be well rewarded trust me.

The setting is full of life and atmosphere symoblising a Spain full of high energy and excitement, but always with the best of intention and purpose.

We have been here twice in the last 2 weeks whilst out in javea, the patatas bravas and cornflake chicken are great as usual,the first time the other dishes we had was not so good, no pate or pickles with the cheese and just a steak,however 2nd visit all the dishes was excellent, melted cheese with honey on and thin steak with egg and potatoes lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who try to sing along with the songs,excellent value,wine only €11 a bottle, will visit...
