We were hoping for better but our expectations were not met. The quality of the meat is not what we expected. The overall food quality was mediocre at best. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare but was brought a very rare steak which I know is very customary to Spain but I asked for medium rare. I cut into the steak in order to determine if it was cooked properly and obviously when they brought it back to put it back on the grill it dried out the steak. The steak was like leather and it had no taste whatsoever. My wife had the mixed grill and again the meat was dry and not terribly flavorful. The mixed grill had pork and a couple types of sausages and chicken. The service in and of itself was not bad we were intended to promptly and professionally. The atmosphere was also quite agreeable clearly a restaurant with some history but we were there for the food not for the brick walls or the kind waitress. We have honestly struggled with trying to find a good steak at least in Zaragoza we will most likely have to branch out to another city to try to find some quality beef.

This was our worst dining experience in Zaragoza. The sardines didn’t have any taste, the garlic oil was just that - oil with garlic chunks in it. The steak was tasteless and 40% of the steak was just horrible fat (see photo). The fried potatoes were dry and tasteless, only sauce offered was ketchup and mayonnaise in pre-packed sachets. The salads were strange - tomato and cheese salad had nice tomatoes but the cheese was overpowering and there was too much cheese. The Norwegian salmon salad was ok but quite strange, none of us really liked it. There is no atmosphere, the paint is peeling on the walls. The only positive was service, the gentleman was friendly and prompt. Sorry, but that’s the truth and I don’t recommend this place. There are many beautiful, fresh tapas place in Zaragoza that are easy 5 stars. This is a restaurant that aims to be fancy, but falls well short.

This is a nice restaurant with good service and great quality food. We had a garlic tomato salad, which was phenomenal and also the most expensive red shrimp paella, which was outstanding but was so big that the two of us almost burst our bellies the first time and I could not finish the leftovers the next night in Madrid. This is definitely good for four people if not five. The waiter who spoke almost zero English was able to recommend pretty good inexpensive bottle of wine, which was fruity and we really enjoyed it. I don’t think all the negative reviews are that accurate and I would recommend trying this place and deciding yourself.

Pues bien, me comí 3. ¡Qué sabor, puro mar! Maravillosas.

This was my worst dining experience .... ever ! The waiter was rude and sarcastic with such a bad attitude ..... he threw dry bread at us and when I asked for oil he brought it in a plastic bottle and again virtually threw it at us .....

The food was dreadful : old dried bones was billed as steak and the fish was so salty it was inedible. One meal never arrived the waiter said it was coming in ten minutes and 40 mins later he gave us the meal in a plastic box as takeaway saying : we re closed now ! Inside the box there were dried salt breadcrumbs !!!

If u look inside the restaurant there are live lobsters and crabs being held in inhuman conditions which I will be reporting to the authorities.

We came back to Zaragoza 3 times because it was so amazing unfortunately this has completely soured our experience .

Please please take heed about this place ... it really beggars belief .... we had no refund when asked : they closed the door and turned the lights off .

No one else outside on the terrace was asked to leave ... and it was before12 midnight ....

Tourists are definitely not welcome at this restaurant ... maybe the Management should look into how their staff are treating customers from abroad / or whether their staff can cope with the...
