Tapas Celentano — Restaurant in Zaragoza

We found this beautiful small bar and restaurant just off the Plaza del Pilar after a morning and early afternoon visiting Aljaferia and the Cathedral of Our Lady. Cold beer and home cooking, it was wonderful. We had empenadas and croquettes all freshly cooked from oven to plate finished off with the cheesecake that would have earned a few extra stars if available. El otro día después de un concierto, una amiga y yo nos metimos a este bar para intentar ir al baño pues en los alrededores no había ningún baño publico y había mucha gente. Era de noche estaba vacío y solo había un chico de pelo negro en la barra, yo me quedé esperando fuera en la puerta que mi amiga preguntara si se podia ir al baño porque entiendo lo de la consumición obligatoria y el baño para clientes cosa que así fue. A lo que mi amiga se compro un botellín de agua de los pequeños vi que se iba al baño y entonces decidí entrar al local para ir al baño yo también cosa que el camarero llamándome la atención con un eh como si fuera una vaca o un colega suyo me dice que el baño es solo para clientes que sin consumición no se entra. Yo le comento que voy con mi amiga y que ella ha consumido y mantenemos una conversación intentando venderme la moto de manera desinteresada hasta que responde de malas maneras que ella ha comprado su consumición, acto seguido le digo que no me interesa y decido salir del local a esperar a mi amiga. Al salir mi amiga me dijo que le habían cobrado 2€ por un botellín de 33cl, me parece hablando mal y pronto de muy rata por parte del camarero de aprovecharse de esta situación y más teniendo los modales que tuvo conmigo. Menos mal que no llega a ser una urgencia o que no tengo ninguna patología que me obligue a ir al servicio porque vaya tela. En mi vida me han cobrado 2€ por una botella de agua de 33cl pero hasta teniendo en cuenta que está al lado de la plaza del pilar hay otros locales que a lo mejor vale 50 céntimos o hasta...

Don’t trust the reviews for this place! I have no idea why the rating is so high. We had the worst tapas here. The calamari was really tough, rubbery and way too oily. The eggplant wasn’t as bad but it was probably the worst version of this dish I’ve had in Spain, and also too oily. We also found the prices very high for the area, and our server could not have cared less about our experience once we were seated. Don’t waste your money and time here, there is much better tapas within 5 minutes...
